Government Not Even Pretending to Care About "Separation of Church & State" Anymore.
I mean, not that they ever did care, but I don't recall anyone being so absolutely blatant about not caring. Usually there's some sort of sly underlying validation for their actions, not a direct "the bible said it's so, so that's what we're going to do."
Here's an article I read about how the Great State of Tennessee is trying to ban soccer games on Sunday because God said it's a day of rest.
Buffoonery, I say. Total. fucking. buffoonery.
see, what I read was "rednecks hate mexicans".
see, what I read was "rednecks hate mexicans".
Exactly, they wouldn't go after American football or baseball or tennis or golf. What's worse is if it goes to the Supreme Court, they'll turn around and say, "It's up to the States to decide whether to be dumb fucks or not."
This is a really good idea.
I fucking hate people.

Lets start a colony on Mars.
This is a really good idea.
Totally, and could this be our First Ammendment?
"You can play soccer WHENEVER THE FUCK YOU WANT."

Second ammendment, No worshipping anything, ever, go the fuck back to Earth if you want to be a religious nut.
This is a really good idea.
Second ammendment, No worshipping anything, ever, go the fuck back to Earth if you want to be a religious nut.
Second Amendment: Sub-Article One: Ok, you can worship who ever the fuck you want, but if you start trying to shove it down anyone's throat, or change anything because of religion, you will be executed on the spot, no questions asked. (after all, it will be a free world) We only said that cuz we fucking hate religious nuts. So if you are one don't even bother coming here.
Third Amendment: We FUCKING evolved!! Period.

Fourth Ammendment: Any religious institutions will be confined to one small area so we can just nuke the fuck out of them if it comes to that.
This is a really good idea.
If you voted for "W" don't even think about it, sorry.
This is a really good idea.
If you voted for "W" don't even think about it, sorry.
the first term I could forgive W voters, they didn't know any better, its the poeple who voted for him the second time that i don't understand. if you didn't like kerry, write something in.

Yeah, W pretty much blew away the Church'n'State thing during his first term. I heard people say they felt safer with W while being in the middle of a war and all (which is stupid) but they totally forgot how he would fuck things over domestically. Like choosing 2 supreme court justices, that will fuck us up for years long after he is out of office.
This is a really good idea.
seriously there's nothing that annoys me more in life then people who say they don't vote because they don't like the candidates. if you are not happy with your choices express that by writing in something, anything, so that politicians know that they are not approved of.
Fourth Ammendment: Any religious institutions will be confined to one small area so we can just nuke the fuck out of them if it comes to that.
I like this one, Ratified!

Ok, how's this?
V Amendment: If you voted for "W" twice, and you try to come to our planet, you will be catapulted into the sun.
VI Amendment: This planet will not have a god. But it will have a MASCOT. It will be the Flying Spaghetti Monster. If you try to oppose that, you will be catapulted into the sun. Or nuked, depending on which direction the wind is blowing.

Hey, don't blame me. I stayed home and didn't vote.

YAY for the FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER
I think he also needs a cute mascot name, like "Corey the Flying Spaghetti Monster." It feels a little bit like Cthulu but with a lighthearted twist and I like that. Also, we gotta have flight patches like the astronauts always have on their space jumpsuits featuring his lovable likeness.
This is a really good idea.
Well well well. What exactly did you expect? You form a country entirely made up of either reilgious nuts or opportunists and then you're surprised when it all goes to shit.
!

America bashing is so fucking last year kid. America has more Nobel Prizes than any other country so clearly it produces a little more than 'religious nuts' and 'opportunists'. Jesus, not everyone who's a christian is stupid and irrational either.
Yeah this no soccer on Sundays thing is ridiculous but it could be worse. A lot of christian beliefs are sane and rational and really if we lived by some of the more sensible ideals it created the world sure could be a little better.
Besides what do you care? you're british, shouldn't you be saying the same things as everyone else about Tony Blair instead?

First off, I'm fucking kidding. Second, I said it was the country was formed with religious nuts and opportunists (oh and slaves too, that the opportunists brought with them), not that it only produces them. I'm well aware that they have done a hell of a lot for the world, although in order to properly examine their contribution to the world you'd have to look at the bigger picture. First off, how many nobel prize winners have they got per million people and how does this compare to, say, switzerland.
And yeah, the world would be a better place if more people had sensible ideals, but do we really need to believe that some great big poltergeist rules the universe in order to have these ideals? Once you start believing in things that have no proof from a book that has a history of being wrong you open the door to let people justify irrational behaviour based on "faith".
Also, could you quit it with this "I don't do what the crowd does, I'm that cool" malarky. Sometimes the crowd is right, sometimes Blair does things wrong. We need to have people who criticise the leaders so that they try and do better in the future.
EDIT: <3
!
I don't do this 'never do what the crowd does' malarky, i just get annoyed when people say the same dumb shit over and over.
also i put a heart at the end to make sure you knew it was all in good faith, nothing aggressive, and you just got all up in my face.
jesus mike, you're using any excuse to publicly bash me right now. i'm not the only one who thinks so either.

Well sorry, I didn't notice the heart.
The thing is, you brought up some serious points and I gave a serious reply.
!
VII Amendment: We really really fucking hate religious nuts so don't come here. Seriously, we hate you. You can go to Cardiff if you want. (Hehehe)
PS: The Flying Spaghetti Monster fucking rules!! Swallow it bitches!!

The goverment may not care, but the good people of Dover, PA booted a whole school board for backing intelligent design.
Of course, Pat Robertson had some advice:
"If there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God, you just rejected him from your city."
The laugher starts here...
When I was growing up, God was supposed to be all forgiving and shit. I guess he's getting cranky in his old age.
when Pat Robertson dies, do we elect a new spokesman for god?
This falls into the category of church and state.
Ralph gave a heads up on this in the SS (quoting you XxX, hope it's cool).
Vote the devil out and call it even.

Pat Robertson Warns
Pa. Town of Disaster

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson warned residents of a rural Pennsylvania town Thursday that disaster may strike there because they "voted God out of your city" by ousting school board members who favored teaching intelligent design.
All eight Dover, Pa., school board members up for re-election were defeated Tuesday after trying to introduce "intelligent design" — the belief that the universe is so complex that it must have been created by a higher power — as an alternative to the theory of evolution.
"I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover: If there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God. You just rejected him from your city," Robertson said on the Christian Broadcasting Network's "700 Club."
Eight families had sued the district, claiming the policy violates the constitutional separation of church and state. The federal trial concluded days before Tuesday's election, but no ruling has been issued.
Later Thursday, Robertson issued a statement saying he was simply trying to point out that "our spiritual actions have consequences."
"God is tolerant and loving, but we can't keep sticking our finger in his eye forever," Robertson said. "If they have future problems in Dover, I recommend they call on Charles Darwin. Maybe he can help them."
Robertson made headlines this summer when he called on his daily show for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. In October 2003, he suggested that the State Department be blown up with a nuclear device. He has also said that feminism encourages women to "kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."

I'm not saying they will, but if they do, just remember, you just voted God out of your city. And if that's the case, don't ask for His help because he might not be there," he said.
