You are right, what was I thinking? Clearly the best option is to sit back and allow the powers that be go at things in their natural fashion. Hey! Maybe when they realize that everyone has just accepted things they will get really out of hand and start doing really cool things, like taking away all of our weapons and searching us without cause. I hope so! Golly, thanks for the fantastic advice, I don't know why I didn't see it sooner! We can't make a difference because things are all corrupt and people are only concerned about power! Great! I am going to go find an authors website where I can bitch about how bad things are while sitting on my ass and not doing a thing!
just to clarify all i said was using the whole 'write yo congress' method doesn't work there are other ways they're just more difficult but they get at least some kind of results

I may be naive, but I can think of only one simple, easy, and breathless way to avoid this entire problem. I admire trypd for his hard work, but I am too inexperienced and have yet to graduate high school (I can hardly finish my homework; I can't expect myself to play politics). Trypd, I remember your epic rant on why you refuse to vote for President. How are you feeling this election year?

i feel fine, other than i only got 3 hours of sleep last night.

seriously, i don't finger any of the candidates as worthwhile (although doc opened my eyes slightly to nadar's possibilities). bush, i really hope he's ousted, but at the same time i'm not sure i want kerry in there either.

you're right, it's hard to get involved with politics or take up a cause you're willing to fight for, and even more-so when you're still young enough to not be directly affected by politics yet. just pay attention to the politicians and the issues around you, you get used to it after a while.
