I've been watching quietly as the literally of hundreds of FEMA 'detention centers/camps' have been going up in number nationwide over the past few years. And now that protests and, conveniently, elections are coming up these defense acts and militarization movements within the U.S. seem to be coming to a head.
I was wondering what you all [American or not] thought of this? It seems surprising how little 'normal' American citizens know about these places and this program, if they know about it at all. Them not knowing about it concerns me quite a bit, seeing as how now America is being called a 'battlefield' by certain higher ups.

I've been reading about this in other places over the years besides just there. But I was honestly just wondering in general what everyone thought of the FEMA camps as a whole. I don't know enough to make a substantial judgement, I thought you clever folks possibly heard of or read up on them in the past couple years.

Well, I've never seen a FEMA Concentration Camp, I don't know where I might go to find one, and I don't know anyone who has either. I've been hearing about how the New World Order is right around the corner and the Constitution is going to be disolved next week for a couple decades now. Thus far, the only people I've seen really raise a panic about FEMA Camps are folks like Alex Jones and the like. They all have a large number of books and video tapes (it's always tapes, these guys have yet to discover DVDs for some reason) that they would like to sell to you that will tell you everything you need to know about them like modern-day snake-oil salesmen with a cure for an ailment you didn't even know you had.
Unless, of course, I'm totally wrong and you guys are all in shackles after the next election. Being BIMC, I'm protected.

Yeah, I saw last year a youtuber who was in Minnesota [I think] and they had a 'camp' up there and there were apparently American soldiers performing 'detaining civilian' type of exercises and were asking normal civilians to participate by volunteering so they could practice with real people. But the civilians got in trouble for taping and stuff.
[It seems none of those sort of people have discovered DVDs.] I wouldn't buy anything anyway.
I personally first heard it from a writer friend of mine down in D.C. who's all into a lot of this type of stuff and did research. I'm not panicking at all.. I'm just trying to figure out the point of these [if they do exist in such large numbers and areas as claimed] would be, or at least a definite map of locations. Everyone keeps saying "The U.S. will be split into 5 areas."
I just keep hearing it come up and people being overly worried about things they barely know about, so I figured SOMEONE's gotta know SOMETHING. Obviously, it's not well found [the solid something that is known about all this nonsense]. I also saw one of those Jesse Ventura shows "Conspiracy" because he did an episode on the FEMA camps, but shortly after they contacted him and yelled at him and kicked him off air apparently. But that's TV and I personally dislike TV quite a bit. I think the whole thing is just turning into a game of telephone to be honest and it's entertaining to watch in a sense.

In response to the original question, I think it's appearent the attitude of most Americans would be "go ahead and take my rights, I wasn't using them anyways."
I think it's apparent as well. Which is quite disgusting. I just can't let all this [not really just the FEMA camps I'm concerned with but more of the police force around here as well as the military & laws & that sort of thing] transpire & sit by while we just 'let things happen'. I feel a bit reluctant to roll over and be content giving up. It seems a lot of American's I have come across have simply given up on America or at least the original ideas of freedom & free speech. I understand change is a constant, I'm alright with that, I'm not alright with living amongst people who are literally blinded by everything pop culture. It's a bit draining.

Personally I think its all propaganda, that's also spurred off and collided with the 2012 people. The way I see it is that I don't really believe it until I actually see it now days. Life is too short to be afraid of every little thing that happens on a daily basis. Especially based on opinions of someone who's possibly a paranoid psychotic. I have my savings and a Passport if I see an inclination of the dissolution of our rights and a few places (countries)in mind I would like to move to.

I never wanted to live in America after I get financial situations settled, anyway. The 2012 people are basing their facts off of nonsense, the same people who are obsessed with their daily astrology fortunes. Bwah if science, as opposed to pseudoscience and taking people's words instead of doing your own research, were more important to regular people I think there wouldn't half of this silliness going on.
