DADT Ruled Unconstitutional in California!
This is such great news. I think it's pretty clear the federal government isn't going to do much to reverse this ruling. Thoughts?
Made a whole list of one of your thoughts, eh Tuffy?
For real though, good for the soldiers in general.
I was actually really shocked to read this. It was so unexpected.

Oh no you diin't!
Tuffy the Dump Truck may rarely increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. The risk may be greater if you have heart disease or increased risk for heart disease (for example, due to smoking, family history of heart disease, or conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes), or with longer use. Tuffy should not be taken right before or after heart bypass surgery. Also, Tuffy may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. This effect can occur without warning symptoms at any time while taking Tuffy. Older adults may be at higher risk for this effect. (See also Precautions and Drug Interactions sections.) Stop taking Tuffy and get medical help right away if you notice any of the following rare but serious side effects: bloody or black/tarry stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest/jaw/left arm pain, shortness of breath, unusual sweating, weakness on one side of the body, sudden vision changes, slurred speech. Ask your doctor if Tuffy is right for you.
First this, next they're going to be letting soldiers marrying soldiers.
Meh, don't care.

I know shit happens within the military that shouldn't happen as it is but I'm sure if anything happens in regards to this new ruling it's going to be a stupid fiasco. The whole 'I told you so' 'This is why we had the whole DADT policy'. I really hope it doesn't come to that but you know the patterns of our stupidity tend to repeat themselves in the most predictable ways. I think it's great that we are trying to move in the right direction but it's just one of those things...It shouldn't matter if Chuck is straight or not he wrote Fight Club!
where's ruth when you need her?

Why do soldiers need to be "out" anyway? How would that assist them in war? It shouldn't be a law to keep quiet, sure, but i don't know what i'm talking about so i'm going to bed.
I was thinking the same thing.
Ruth made a post on Facebook about DADT a few weeks ago. She brought up some pretty good points against it.
There are always good points as to why a system should stay entrenched, even if it's an unethical system.
There is hope, but not for us.
I propose a new policy:
Don't Ask About, Talk About or Complain About Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, North Korea or Russia, and Dissolve the Army.

Instead of going to war with whichever country, we just shun them!
