Can someone explain to me what Hillary Clintons campaign is all about?

I have been looking around for videos of her speeches and most of the clips online seem to focus soley on pointing out how much she laughs and how obnoxious her laugh is; the others seem to be shot by retarded midgets with the microphone inside a tin can.

Hillary's campaing is all about how Obama doesn't have the political experience required to answer a phone at 3 am, how Obama is a hell of an orator, but words are just words, how he's unpatriotic, unqualified, and you know, I heard he's Muslim and has connections to Al-Qaeda. Still, he would make an incredible VICE president, despite the fact that he's the one currently ahead in the delegate count.

In a nutshell, her campaign is a list of reasons why Barak Obama should not be president, while she really provides no reasons why she's more qualified, other than her broken-record, "EXPERIENCE EXPERIENCE EXPERIENCE!!" diatribe.

Living in the White House while your husband gets fellated by portly interns doesn't make you more experienced at anything, aside from being publicly humiliated on a national scale.

Hey albeesh, where'd that MJK quote come from?  Cause the first time I saw TOOL it was raining and he talked a lot more than he usually did.  Then like six years later he mentioned how it rained the last time he came.  What a fucking badass.

Pretty much... nailed it.

I find it odd how rarely this question is asked of anyone but Obama. What the hell does John McCain know about the economy? What does Hillary know about answering that phone call at 3 a.m.? Honestly. I want to know.

One of the best and most concrete things I can say about Obama's campaign so far is that he's actually maintained his position to not stoop to the dirty stuff. Clinton's response? To keep baiting him into it.

How Geraldine Ferraro still has a job, alongside Clinton, in politics after all the shit she's said... is just, amazing.

These are some of Ferraro's comments - a Democratic heavyweight - that have everyone all freaked out:

When the subject turned to Obama, Clinton's rival for the Democratic Party nomination, Ferraro's comments took on a decidedly bitter edge.

"I think what America feels about a woman becoming president takes a very secondary place to Obama's campaign - to a kind of campaign that it would be hard for anyone to run against," she said. "For one thing, you have the press, which has been uniquely hard on her. It's been a very sexist media. Some just don't like her. The others have gotten caught up in the Obama campaign.

"If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position," she continued. "And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept." Ferraro does not buy the notion of Obama as the great reconciler.

"I was reading an article that said young Republicans are out there campaigning for Obama because they believe he's going to be able to put an end to partisanship," Ferraro said, clearly annoyed. "Dear God! Anyone that has worked in the Congress knows that for over 200 years this country has had partisanship - that's the way our country is."

And this was made earlier... but strangely, not mentioned till now:

She doesn't want us out of Iraq. As for health care, she doesn't want to guarentee everyone gets it, she wants to force us all to pay into a fund that the gov't will divy up in the way it feels fit to control health care. Control - that's an important thing. Hi(t)llary likes control. ...I better cut myself off there before I start ramblin'.

Maybe we're talking about two different people.

How the hell is she doing so well with literally no public agenda then?

one of the things, phleg, is that her husband happens to be brilliant with finances, a gifted brain.
ive met him a few times and he's very sharp, and speaks with a hillbilly's tongue.  none of what he stands for bothers me, but the man cheated on his wife and that doesnt slide with me, not at all.  but, meeting him, you cant help but to like him.  and he completely wiped out our deficit, which has never happened before.  of course, six months with george junior and we again owed and owed more than ever before.

i honestly have no idea which side i'm voting, I guess really taking this thread as my first public outcry and thinking on the matter.  a woman whose marital life may or may not be suffering, a man who's politics i dont know, or a man slandered constantly on the internet

honestly, obama i think would make an excellent president.  i feel he’d be the type of president that a citizen could keep faith in.

i have always liked a few of hil clinton's policy ideas, especially the national healthcare, but let's be honest and admit that what you proclaim before you get into office and what you will be able to do when you are in office are often surprisingly dissimilar, most especially when it comes to extreme changes.

and, personally, as in personality wise speaking, i dont see hillary being capable of non emotional responses and i do see obama being more able to handle stress levels matter of factly, as in holding the right decisions precedent over the emotional--which is where i think george junior fucked up and stayed that way in many ways including the whole speech "To the other nations of the world, you are either with us or you are with the terrorists" and after i shed a tear over that televised speech, i yelled at the television that there is quite a bit of gray in the world and that area, outside of the redlined area of raw emotion, that's where things get done..  but, alas…

so, i think outta the candidates residing, obama's my choice.  i just dont think hillary possesses the constitution for hardened days, for several years into a full blown war or the reconstruction that would follow, you know, pretty much the worst case scenario that you must always be prepared to face.  pretty much, the same reason i refused to vote for the fluffy tree hugging al gore, even though he seemed like a great guy and well intentioned he also didnt seem to have the stomach to handle the gritty

obama seems the best choice this round.  To me.

Oh.  My.  God.  Giggan and I agree on something.  (OK, except for maybe the "(t)")  But still, I would call this a somewhat momentous occasion.  Anyone confused as to what I am referencing, go ahead and spend a few hours of your life readings Giggan and my back-and-forths in the "Vote Obama" thread.

Unlike Giggan, I will say that if my choice was only between Clinton and McCain I would vote for Clinton without a second's hesitation.  But I surely hope that such an awful choice is not what is placed before me.

Clinton has a different position on the war depending on what audience she/it is talking to. Though it's interesting to see she has on her official site that she wants to 'end the war" or at least "start...today". I couldn't find a specific clip on youtube, but do some digging and you'll find clips of her talking about how we need to handle the war responsibly and how immediate withdrawl is "impossible".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjQLE2YFdeE

They're both CFR, and the CFR supports the war, in the interest of setting up Iraq as a business hub in the middle east. Research the CFR if you don't know what it is. Check the member list on wikipedia.

Haha, Oberon, I'm sure there's much we agreed on in that thread, we just weren't looking for agreements so we didn't see them.

I think her campaign should be titled: "Look what you made me do."

Obama tries and tries to stay a true person, and she consistently tries to make him resort to her bullshit. When he doesn't respond, she basically hints around that he's hiding something. If he does respond, he's painted as a person going back on his word.

"I'm going to resort to dirty play from pretty much day one. Then, when you respond in a like manner, I'm gonna flay you for going back on your word when you said you wouldn't stoop to my level. Welcome to the world of politics, Barack."

Anyone curious as to the nature of her so-called "experience" should have no question at this point. I wonder, do people think Bill Clinton is actually going to be running the country through his wife?
