Major Inversions, my first book
My first novel, Major Inversions, is now available for online ordering in paperback and Kindle edition. I'll be flogging it mercilessly and periodically, and I appreciate The Cult's support and/or discussion. Finished it two years ago and started it six, and it's quite different from my current work, but a fun ride, and I've gotten many kind words about it. Workshopped a little bit of it right here at one of the Craig Clevenger intensives.
Congrats first of all, and next month I will surely buy a copy once I have my bills paid. Just drop me a reminder or bump the thread and I will oblige

what is it about?
So...We are still going to die. Right?
Link actually doesn't work for me. Could be just me, but just so you know.
no problem, I found your website on my own. (I felt so smart).

Amazon's now enabled that "Look Inside" feature, so if you wanna peep some samples beyond those I offer on my own site, indulge yourselves.
congrats, brother !!

I'm honored to be the first in a series of author interviews called Beer und Questions Asks... wherein Cult member and author Caleb J. Ross sits down with me at a local bar to discuss this novel, fueled by the social lubricant/truth serum of its namesake.
While it's also an excuse to bump the thread, to enhance your options from just paperback or Kindle, I've now made a downloadable PDF (Adobe Digital Edition) available for sale. You can read it on your computer, on your Sony Reader or compatible device, or in your browser on Scribd.com. Same link down there in the sig.
If you don't already have the free Adobe Digital Editions software, you'll want that before downloading the book, to authorize up to six devices instead of just the one you downloaded it with.
I was recently able to get Major Inversions listed with the major distributors, so now in addition to the aforementioned CreateSpace and Amazon, you can buy this at your online retailer of choice, including Powell's, Barnes & Noble, etc. You should also be able to special order it at just about any book store, but since they're unlikely to stock it on their shelves, you'll probably have to pay up front. But at least it's an option for cash customers without credit cards.
(I still encourage you to use CreateSpace or Amazon, because the extra middlemen with those new distributors mean my royalty is practically zero. Just click my signature.)
This book is really good, very worth the read, especially if you are:
1. into music
2. A guy
3. witty and charming
Seriously guys, you should read this book! 'tis amazing the amount of good writers we have scurrying around here.

Giving away a few copies over at Goodreads (U.S. only). So if you've been on the fence about picking it up, now's your chance. G'head and friend me while you're at it.
mine came in the mail today.
I read as much as Amazon's preview allowed me to read yesterday, and as much as I wanted to tell you in this post how tuff I thought it was I didn't want to say anything until I placed my order. I placed my order a couple minutes ago, pretty excited to read.
The fact that your character is a security guard was just a plus... I'm a security guard at a high end purse store, and I hate my job with a passion that rivals my love making
Heh heh, purses, that's an interesting coincidence, given one of the character's quirks... I was an airport screener for two summers (pre-9/11), and spent another at juvenile court. That one was pretty scary, actually, because we had some real fuckups coming through there, and I had to keep my head on a swivel. Then did some intermittent work at everything from concerts to nursing homes to warehouses. Midnight to noon was the worst shift ever, especially knowing that it was just me and one other dude splitting the clock, and if that guy didn't show up... Well anyway, I'm gettin all nostalgic here.
Thanks for checking it out, and I hope you dig the rest!
yeh I split the clock with another guard at my current job, although I'm usually second shift so being forced into a double isn't usually an issue for me. Used to do concerts and events, as well as work at a convention center, which were almost fun but the pay was too low.
Anyway.... no doubt brother, I'm into supporting the artist

Dude, congrats!
Remember your work. It was never boring.
Although I think this one looks a little different than the thing you wrote when I was around.
I am surely going to look into it.
Good luck with it.
All the best,
Bateman.
