Need UK Titles
Hey guys,

I'm just realizing that I don't really have any UK 1st editions by Will Christopher Baer, either hardcover or paperback. I will gladly swap US WCB or Craig Clevenger or Chuck Palahniuk for those. Or there's always cash.

I also need Clevenger UKs 1sts (only have 2nds).

And I think just Haunted & Choke UK for Palahniuk (I won't even mention Fight Club).

I'm on ebay as wickerkat, so you can see I'm very trustworthy.

I have some extra China Mieville, including signed limiteds if any of you UK guys like him. I think he's big over there.

Thanks,
Richard

hey, wickerman.. i dont believe that baer or clev have hard covers in the uk. same with most of chuck's books. the only one i have is the contortionists handbook because i hate the us softcover format--big and flimsy, hard to hold and read. i love the uk edition softcovers because of size, but the shipping is just so fuckin expensive.

wish i had more intel to offer. but im not a collector so much as i am a gatherer. good luck.

There are no UK WCB's, to my knowledge.

I wish I could help. How do I know if something's first edition or not?

CC had UK. A first will say 123456789 or 135798642 or something on the copyright page, with the 1 being the important thing - also there must be a price on the dust jacket

what are THESE then? they're not UKs

. .

i belive the first one is UK via penguin, back in 98

the second, i cant remember whether UK or US

the third is macadam/cage hard cover, US--i had this, gave it away a year later
-i fucking loathe hard covers for the reading aspect. maybe i shoulda kept it, but most people enjoy reading hardbacks..

the forth is the first first US soft cover, penguin/viking--this is the one i have..

Well apparantly there are then.

Both my editions of the Handbook and Dermaphoria say 1, and then nothing else. They're paperback and have the extended parts in the back, Essays - Fugitive Tendancies, Stranger in a Gray Hat, Establishing the Rules of the Game and Black Notebooks, as well as If You Liked This... and Craig's top ten books, which I think I posted in the intensive too. They're not in mint condition. Well read, people call them. But if you want them then I'll swap them for a bottle of vanilla coke, which is impossible to get over here anymore.
Your call though, I wouldn't blame you if you said no.

i didnt know that the UK Derm released with extras in the back. is it the same extras as the handbook or very different ?

if different, ill trade you something juicy for that derm. name it. and wear or none, i mangle my books so the condition needs to be readable and im no more picky than that-

unfortunately can't know if they are first editions - ebay is good for that, the amazon used is a mixed bag - well, that's half the fun, tracking them down - i actually didn't realize that WCB had so many versions out there, not to mention the Italian, French, and Spanish

Peace,
