Well hello there..
Hi there. Im new. My name is Sean, im 18 years old, and am a field artilleryman in the US Army. Im currently deployed in Kandahar, Afghanistan. I read Chuck Palahniuk books to help my year go by (still 7 months to go grr).
Anyway i actually just recently got into Palahniuks work. Of course ive seen fight club, but when i really got into reading his work, was when my buddy in my squad suggested Rant. It blew my mind. Since then ive been hooked on Palahniuks books. Recently ive read Rant, Choke, and Snuff. Unfortunately I dont exactly have access to bookstore of sorts so when i get back i plan to continue to read more of Chucks books. What do yall recommend? Cant wait to here from some of you.

Hi there.
Don't die. Get Invisible Monsters or Lullaby. And welcome!
My friend is being deployed to Afghanistan this month, I actually went to his going away party last night. If I knew that it was a sure thing you'd cross paths with my buddy I would give him books to give to you.
Read Survivor. If you liked Rant you will enjoy it. It has a similar message from a polar opposite perspective.
To live without risk is to risk not living.
Hey, thanks for being over there. A lifetime ago (about 20 years) a Chaplain got me hooked on reading while deployed down range. It's a great way to pass the time. PM me your address over there and maybe I can hook you up with some copies.
Another vote for Survivor from me.
Good luck with the rest of your tour.
A few years ago Mirka and some other Cultists sent books to US troops in the Middle East. Do you get access to books in a similar way?
Hello.
Hm survivor it is then! ill see if my parents or dbdurden (ill pm you for my address) could send it to me.
sorry for the late response, im new so idk if it notifies you if you get comments, but i didnt know about these.
Anyway, things over here have been alright, just really hot. A buddy of mine almost got hit by a stray bullet (apparently the front gate of our FOB was under attack), and a rocket hit like right behind all our CHU's. like just a couple feet closer it wouldve killed us all..so we all got combat action badges for that. I guess thats my excitement for the month lol.
Hows everyone else been?

Uneventful in comparison...
Other than the east coast crying about an earthquake there hasn't been much going on.
hi!
AND a hurricane.. not that I'm complaining I didn't catch much of anything being in Ohio..

I'm waiting for aliens to come abduct us over here in SoCal and have New Mexico and crop circle folks laugh at us for freaking out.
Hi, welcome!

Hello there. How's Afghanistan treating you? I'm "unfit" for military service and I'm from Portugal where everyone's too lazy for fighting, so I'll probably never be in your situation. Which, to be honest, is fine with me. I'm afraid of loud noises.
I can't recommend any Chuck books because my memory's too fuzzy (I read most of them about six years ago). Only one I read recently was Tell-All, which I remember enjoying more than I was told I would.
thanks for sharing.blackhawk tactical pants.
