The Book Club sucked me in.....
Hi,
I'm El, 25 and a wannabe writer from Nottingham, UK.
As previously implied I've been lurking the Book Club for a while (and picking up some recommendations to add to my reading list on the way), and decided to join up.
My favourite book of Chuck's is probably Fight Club because it's the first book of his I read and contains the single best description of insomnia I have ever heard (speaking as a sufferer), although I also have a lot of love for Haunted.
My Friday evening plans are to eat pasta and marathon on Firefly or Heroes (yet to decide which). Any questions?
Heroes! but then again I never saw Firefly other than the movie Serenity which I enjoyed very much. I would say that Summer Glau would be the tie breaker if you had to decide.
You should definitely check out Tobacco Stained Mountain Goat.
And what is El short for or is that your full first name? It reminds me of this silly game I used to play when I was younger. It's kind of like a Mexican bingo that has cards like this

Hello El.
I live but a short train ride away from Notts. I'm up there fairly regularly to watch bands and stuff. I like the city, have a couple of buddies live there. Do you live in the centre?
You should wade right on in with those book club discussions.
SOLARCIDE.COM My blog/writer's hideout. Stories and interviews by me and by special guests. Together we can kill the sun. Come lend a hand.
Latest update - What The Eyes Behold by Mike Frounfelter.

This is why we can't have nice things.
@audreythirteen I went with Firefly in the end, although I'm tempted with a bit of Sylar action tonight. And El is indeed a shortening of my name, which is Elise.
@wickedvoodoo Ah Mansfield, I know it well! I myself live a short bus ride away from the city centre.
And thanks for the welcome, I will be joining in with the discussion once I've read the book (currently waiting for Amazon to dispatch)
hello.
Beautiful name Elise and once again welcome.

Glad to see you've been lurking the Book Club! Now you just need to participate.
Tobacco-Stained Mountain Goat is this month's book. Read it and enjoy. A lot of people really liked that one.
I'm the mod over there if you have any questions.
