Nothing wrong with that. I spent the majority of middle school with uncombed hair, thick framed glasses (at one point taped in the middle) wearing red and black striped Max Headroom sweaters. It wasn't funny then - downright emotionally crippling later but at the time I couldn't give a shit - but it's funny now to walk down W. 4th street and see a bunch of NYU hipsters in the same get up.
