So here I am...
I actually got introduced to this site by a great friend of mine while in the middle of a heated conversation about some writing we had both been doing. He is also the friend that introduced me to 'Invisible Monsters'. Needless to say, I was hooked and bought every book that Chuck had put out. I've browsed through some of the forums and i'm pretty stoked about being a member here. Its hard for me to find people in my life that I can actually talk to, on a intellectual level, that is. Most people I find annoying and/or ignorant to the fact that there is even another person in their conversation. Like they are talking about nonsense just to hear themselves talk. So much of it has gotten me closed up and even though it helps me write, I find that I need some-what of a social life. Sounds sad, but its true. So, hello...
Busy is a drug that a lot of people are addicted to.
Well, I have a social life, its just a very shallow one where no one really cares about the other. That's going to be anywhere really, even on the internet. I get that. I just get a rush and enjoy talking if there is a mutual interest of the subject at hand, and this is a place to get that. Thanks for the welcome. Ashley. I love them.

Hi.
Besides Palahniuk, who are your favorite authors?
What kind of music do you listen to?
What's your favorite movie?
How old are you?
What timezone do you live in?
What is your favorite baby animal?
What's your favorite Chuck book?
What do you use as a bookmark?
What are your guilty pleasures?
Hiya. What's your favorite kind of sammich, Ashley? In detail, please.
Jaz, you stole my getting to know new members/screening question!!
Would you say you're a spiritual person?
Pies or cake?
Flip-flops or strappy sandals?
E-Readers or physical books?
- If you answered e-readers to the previous question then answer this one - If a Kindle and a Nook fought in a dark alley, who would survive?
- If you answered physical books then answer this one - If an anthropomorphic paperback and a hardcover version of Fight Club asked the same girl to the prom, who would she go with?
EDIT: By the way, my name is Jessica. And it's very nice to meet you, Ashley.
Also, we're going to need your blood-type and three embarrassing facts about yourself.
Tuffy the Dump Truck may rarely increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. The risk may be greater if you have heart disease or increased risk for heart disease (for example, due to smoking, family history of heart disease, or conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes), or with longer use. Tuffy should not be taken right before or after heart bypass surgery. Also, Tuffy may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. This effect can occur without warning symptoms at any time while taking Tuffy. Older adults may be at higher risk for this effect. (See also Precautions and Drug Interactions sections.) Stop taking Tuffy and get medical help right away if you notice any of the following rare but serious side effects: bloody or black/tarry stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest/jaw/left arm pain, shortness of breath, unusual sweating, weakness on one side of the body, sudden vision changes, slurred speech. Ask your doctor if Tuffy is right for you.
You wake up one morning, hung over as piss. The blinds are closed but enough light bleeding through for you to realize there is a large animal in bed with you.
What is it. And how does it takes its coffee?
As your attorney, my advise to you is to start drinking heavily(er).-Tuffy
Aha! Exited, curious bunch..I love it. Well, William Christopher Baer is always a good read, I listen to most rock as long as I can FEEL it. Tool, Zeppelin, Chili Peppers, Reading and Music are my life. My age is on my profile, my fav Chuck book would have to be 'Survivor' or 'Invisible Monsters', though they are all good. I'm working on 'Tell All' right now. Well, that and 'Apathy and Other Small Victories', by Paul Neilan. I live in Florida so I love flip-flops and have two cats. I'm not good at relationships because I cant stand liars and most everyone lies. Yes, I will be that old cat lady. As a bookmark? Whatever random piece of paper or small, flat object I find lying around. My spirituality is complicated and I am working to figure it out myself. I am not religious, to say the least. Karma is important to me. Blood type? Who knows that about themselves, really? I sure as hell don't. and no coffee, I drink tea and monsters. I read physical books, for sure, and its nice to meet you Jessica.

This one time, I got bitten by a tiger, and I got so pissed off I ripped its head off and ate its brains. I used to be a hardcore motherfucker.

You forgot or neglected to detail your favorite sammich.

I am not worried about what you drink, but what the creature in your bed would drink.
As your attorney, my advise to you is to start drinking heavily(er).-Tuffy
The creature in my bed does not drink, only snores and stares at me incessantly. I like banana sandwiches with ketchup.

Nice!
I'll say that we're on the same page when it comes to Baer, Survivor, Invisible Monsters, karma, the idea of knowing your own blood type, and physical books although only because I've yet to spring for a Kindle.
As long as we don't discuss newer Chuck books, rock music, flip-flops, bookmarks, or coffee... you're going to like me soooo much.

Yeah, I feel you on newer Chuck books. I'm just getting into 'Tell All' and I must say I have had to re-read it several times just to make sure my judgement on it is correct. Guess it's just not my kind of read. If you haven't read "Apathy and Other Small Victories", I would highly suggest it. It has all of the dry and demented humor I love.

I'm reading Apathy again right now and I couldn't help but agree. I find myself stifling my laughter when I'm reading it at work...
Oh and welcome!
You seem cool shallowly overlooked.
Give me your property! Yeaaahhh!
Thanks, I appreciate that considering how little you know about me:) Everyone has been very welcoming. Thats awesome.

Hi Ashley.
If you had a magic cup that turned your tears into gold, how would you make yourself weep into it in order to amass the saddest fortune the world has ever known?
I feel more like I do now than I did before.
Then this other time, I got stabbed by a marine, and I ripped out his eyes and ate them.

I dont really care for gold that much. I see it as a weapon of mass destruction. Gold=Money. Even though money makes the outside world go round, it does not do the same for mine. Dont get me wrong money is good because you gotta have it for necessities, and to take you places you want to go (unless you are a die hard walker) but as far as turning my precious tears into it...No, thank you.

Necessities should never bear a price.
I'm new too.
Welcome.
No plans of world domination and destruction...really?

Yeah, I don't trust that either.
New cultie #1 is filed under a capital S for suspicious.
Does this magic cup only work with her tears? Regardless way I have a plan.

World domination and reconstruction through words, yes. And suspicious, yes.
