Pleased To Meet You
I haven’t joined a forum since the tender age of 15, during my angsty Tim Burton loving high school years. And, yes, it was a Tim Burton forum I joined, but bear in mind that this was almost 10 years ago when I had just discovered Edward Scissorhands and Tim was still making good movies like Sleep Hollow, before Planet of the Apes came and brought everything downhill with it. But I digress.
Hi, my name is Stacy and I’m an amateur novelist/short story-ist attempting greatness. I have sent in payment for the Beginner’s Writing Workshop that starts in July, and am really looking forward to it starting. In preparation, and general anxiousness to get started, I thought it only fitting to sign up for the forums as well. I’m a big fan of Palahniuk as well, so, you know, that helps. My favorite book of his that I’ve read so far is Choke. Bomb ass book, if you ask me.
I’m a gloomy optimist, but a lover of life always. Passion is my craft, and I work to use it every day. And I’m really excited to get to know you guys.

Hello.
Was Tim Burton the one responsible for the Planet of the Apes remake? Shame on him. Didn't he know you can't improve perfection?
(original Planet of the Apes = my favorite movie ever)
Pepper- yes, it was! Shame on him, indeed... for a lot of reasons really.
BT- I'm really excited. I can't wait for it to start.
welcome!
Stacy, welcome to the cult. In my egotistical way, I like you already because you remind me of myself. I hope you enjoy it around these parts!
I sound like an old lady...
I agree wholeheartedly with this statement.
