Please allow me to introduce myself..

Hello, how are you? I'm posting in this forum first to keep myself from becoming "a little overwhelmed." My real name isn't important. Well, not until I die. There's my mandatory F.C. reference, you're welcome. Okay, so I joined the Cult, paid my 40 bucks and all that because only very recently I decided to finally give myself a chance. Writing is something I've been told that I'd be good at and I've always somewhat secretly had the ambition to try my hand. In fact, it might be my only real ambition. How'd I get into Palahniuk? Well, like everyone else I know who's read him, it was after seeing the F.C. movie. Now I'm looking for some direction to help me get started on working towards becoming a big fat success who wears nice suits and talks to gay German bloggers with American accents, light questions, and their own TV shows.

I'm from the very rocky part of Ontario, Canada. I work in over-the-phone customer service for the dominating cable company in NYC where I do not live. I like Hermann Hesse's work a lot but I'm currently reading my 3rd Doug Coupland book in 2 weeks. I also just reread Choke and Fight Club. My favourite band is Modest Mouse even though they have found huge success now. I'm currently listening to another favourite band called Isis.

Finally, I'm here for the workshops mainly and I hope not to become addicted to this forum the way I have to other forums.
