Hey, I have been a fan for a while. I was a member but had to make a new account. The reason I joined is because my friends are sick of my addictive behavior to reading and then telling them about what I think of the books I just read.
Someone saw me reading Fight Club at the coffee shop I work at and said "you do not look like a nihilist." I have never been the same

Please try, assorted noobs congregating in this thread like timid squirrels, to realize that most of the "fighting" on this site is tongue-in-cheek or, at the very least, not all that serious. A touch of drama is what will keep you coming back when, this time next month, you have said and read just about everything you can think to about Mr. Palahniuk, his books, his orientation, and the kind of toothpaste he uses. You will have also burnt out on all the philosophy and religion and politics that you can think of.
