Newbie and breakthrough author!
Hi lovely folks.
I'm completely new here but I love Chuck's books and everyone I've met who reads them tends to be someone interesting and worth knowing.
I'm a British fashion photographer from London who has this year realised his lifelong dream of becoming an author. So if you'll forgive a newbie an enthusiastic little plug:
My ever-so-slightly-Fight-Club-esque novel 'The Dare Ring' was rejected for being too edgy umpteen zillion times but since getting inspired by the self-publishing revolution and launching it myself, it has triumphed and gone on to become a Top 5 selling thriller in Apple's iBookstore chart.
I invite you to click the image below if you're into restless young people doing ever more extreme stunts in an attempt to feel alive.
Look forward to participating in some interesting discussions here at The Cult!

is there a section for that, now?
also, congrats on the publication. you have truly accomplished something just by having a book published in a non-self-published way.

“...There are so many ways of being despicable it quite makes one's head spin. But the way to be really despicable is to be contemptuous of other people's pain. You ought to have some apprehension that the man you see before you was once even younger than you are now and arrived at his present wretchedness by imperceptible degrees.”

Your name is really TIT US?
The Dare Ring. Get it? The Daring, clever.
does everyone in the club go around wearing special rings so they can tell each other apart? Kinda like those masonic rings?
I'd feel ripped off if there wasn't actual rings involved somehow.
No, it's about a "ring" that instead of fighting in, they have to enter and complete a dare. For example, one who enters the "Dare Ring" may have to steal a pack of gum from a convenience store, or yell "Penis!" in a public place, how intense!
We become our words.
I think you say it "Tee-tis". I think it's Japanese for "rising sun" or something.
At first I thought he was an alt of Phil.

Why? What did I ever do to deserve such an accusation?

Something in me rises when I see that name, but I'm not sure that it's a sun.

Not an accusation. More of a compliment. When I think of a breakthrough author from England, I think of you.

wow! seems really cool. I love that you used to be a fashion photographer, it's like you now have two of my dream jobs, that and a writer. Very nice to meet you! I'm Deb and i'm new too.
