I am a NewB. I will look back at this day and smile at the innocence of this experience no doubt.
So, how did I get here?
Well, I have never read a Palahniuk book, (please stop booing me). During my introduction to him, through probably the most common venue: The Fight Club movie, I was floored by the narration. I could just tell that it had to be a great read. So, next thing I knew I was reading my 60-year-old ex-hippie's Playboy magazine with an interview with Chuck and checking out this website.
My initial plan was to get to the library asap and get started on reading some of his stuff...but I held off. Why? Well, when I found this site, I saw the contest for the Sony Reader. Now, being a library girl, I have been quite resistant to the whole e-read movement...but I was gonna let my morals be persuaded if I WON a reader with all the Palahniuk books...I think I can make the exception and I think you understand.
So, I think the drawing has been had, and I haven't been contacted; I guess I haven't won. Have any of you?? If so, congrats!! I keep checking back in, but nope, nothing. Not even an announcment...booo!
Anyway, so it's to the library I go...and I will be in touch on how my CP experience is going...

Welcome. Smile I don't think I'll ever be keen on the idea of e-reading, but who knows. I went to Hasting's today and saw all of Chuck's paperback books on sale for ten bucks. (Well, all of his fiction, anyway, minus Fight Club.)

I hope you stick around longer than the average new cultie.
