my bed smells like sweet and sour chicken
I have one hour and ten - no, eight minutes until my boyfriend is going to call me. What better time to introduce myself to the cultists? Culties? Trekkers? I don't know.
In order from favourite to least:
Diary
Fight Club
Choke
Lullaby
Survivor
Invisible Monsters
Haunted
Stranger Than Fiction
I also have love for Mil Millington, who answers emails, Dave Barry, Ian Fleming, Truman Capote, and lots and lots of movies (most notably the best movie ever, Shaun of the Dead). But I may be alone in my feeling that the adaptation of Fight Club didn't really come close to the genius of the book. As far as TV goes I love Mystery Science Theater 3000, Spaced, House, and 24. Please don't spoil the new season for me, I haven't caught up yet. I used to like Family Guy and Drawn Together before they started sucking.
Recently I've been reading The Monkey Wrench Gang and I think it's fantastic writing.
That is all.
Ciao.
Only if you love me.
Hello! 24 is ok this season.....don't get too excited. Nothing great.
I prefer "Chuckies."

Brentinlouis Wrote: What was that rule about being intentionally annoying?
So I have heard, but as long as Jack's badassery remains intact I'm cool.
Of course! You get to see him cry though.

I think he cries in every season...but I've been watching them nonstop to catch up, so they're all bleeding together in my mind.
Are you just a fan mourning the loss of mst3k from tv; or do they still run it over there
Also, my bed has a similar smell. We could be sisters
spaced and shaun of the dead eh?
did you know simon pegg had a bit part in land of dead after making that film?
Sweet n Sour Pork from Twin Dragon Restaurant in Cheyenne Wyoming is the best in teh world. There. I've said it.
Interesting - I don't see most people listing Diary in their top Chuck books...
oh YEAH? I think we should facilitate a pork swap..
Welcome to the Cult.

I'm not sure if they still run it on Sci-Fi or not; I watch episodes on DVD and downloaded from MySpleen. Or on YouTube if I've got nothing else.
greetings!
diary is my #1 as well.
as for 24.... the second night of this season was really good... and yay for everyone who missed it - they released it the next day on dvd for 10 bucks (and a coupon for $10 off season 6... so you could really rationalize it as free, if you needed to).
anyhow. welcome.
oh YEAH? I think we should facilitate a pork swap..
But what would my wife say?
your bed smelling like chinese food makes you attractive for some reason
maybe I am just hungry
this past Christmas would have stunk if i didn't get to watch MST3K Santa Claus conquers the Martians on youtube

they cancelled it late 90s... the shorts are my favorite
24 is wack.
Jack Bauer is lame.
hi, i'm andrea.
what part of seattle do you live?
i have family in west seattle and they were hit pretty hard by all the snow...
anyhoo, good to meet you!
24 is wack.

Don't listen to Midas Touch, T.F. 24 is one of my favorite guilty pleasures.
Although I am a tad disappointed in this season. I was ready for a few rouge CTU agents to set off for China to bust Jack out, so I was bummed when that wasn't the way they wrote it. Not so bummed I don't watch, though. Jack's still Jack. Wild & crazy scenarios still ensue.
Welcome, from a sister newbie. You sound as though you'll fit right into The Cult.

24 would have been a hell of a better show if each season was a completely different character and story
even more, what they should have done was keep the same exact cast each year but come up with a completely new story and characters
Lost, Entourage, Da Ali G Show, The Wire, Extras, The Office (UK), The Office (US), and ESPN Original Programming are all I need to be happy.
(The only reason I'm anti-24 is because I feel like that'd be one show too many to be into...but let's keep that between you and me)
and Kathy, if you include an interrobang (‽) in one of your new works, I'll purchase it.
My bed smells like beerfarts

I almost threw up

Yeah, I don't know what's up with that, myself. They have a tendency to kill off the ones the audience is most emotionally attached to (beginning with Jack's wife) and keep the ones that get on your nerves (like Chloe).
BTW, saw an amusing side article in the paper today, about Jack Bauer torturing Jack Bauer. It was about what K.Sutherland did to the prototype for the J.B. action figure. According to the column (always important, I think, to remember any news item -print, online or otherwise- is never more than "according to"), Keifer & some buds were knocking back a few and things got out of hand.:sgrin:

*caution: nerdy self emerging*
if this is what you want, check out the special features disc of season 5. view the prequel for season 6. it's exactly that... but with an awful twist.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on. Chloe is the best character, ever. EVER.
I'm too lazy to refer back to the first page, but I live in the U district. And Mike > Joel. And I'm so glad someone else loves Diary.

:mad1: Chloe??? Well, okay, she has grown on me a little, much as I hate to admit it. And when she got to blow somebody away in the field, that made me smile. But ... not so much that I'd miss her if she were to fall victim the next time CTU's headquarters are blown up/gassed/infected. I'd write her a decent eulogy, though, in deference to how long the character's survived through the seasons.
Chloe rocks. Her boyfriend pisses me off though.

Brentinlouis Wrote: What was that rule about being intentionally annoying?
IMHO Chloe brings much-needed comic relief to the show, but with exactly the sort of subtle, ironic humor that fits. Without her the drama is relentless and exhausting.
every time I hear the name Chloe it reminds me of that song Chloe Dancer by Mother Love Bone
which I like
Chloe rocks. Her boyfriend pisses me off though.
Oh yeah, the new one for this season. I don't buy into him either.
He seems to have his own agenda. He could be a baddy.

Brentinlouis Wrote: What was that rule about being intentionally annoying?
Oh, hey, LeHaHi, I haven't seen a postcard from you, yet! Did my p.m. with my mailing addy get through to you?
Oops, I forgot. Sorry! I haven't seen one from you either! Did you get my address?
I'll have one out for you tomorrow.

No, I didn't! Hope your email didn't get snagged by my spam filter.I'll go back and look for it.
Truth be told, I'm a little intimidated about your postcard exchange. Some of them sound pretty sophisticated. I worry I'll disappoint you.
I wouldn't worry about it. When I sent 'em out there were ones with the dullest of dull buildings at my university along with some cars. Some of them were pictures of rowboats all phoney sepia-tinted that said "Old Hull" on them and others just had pictures of the humber bridge on them!

And there is no way on earth to make this bridge interesting.

Well, that's a relief. I'll cast my worries off the Humber Bridge, then, and muck around with some designs.

I've come out of hiding just to say hello to you.

I love Chloe too. I read a review that said the best part of 24 is when Chloe is bickering pointlessly as the world ends. I agree!
Also, I really like that song Chloe Dancer - it's in the movie Singles.

it's Trekkies
and are we supposed to talk to you for the next hour and 6 minutes? because i was just about to go to bed
