+me
I'm Sam. I'm 18, live in St. Louis MO, born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. Potugal. The Man is my shit. I hate blimps and The Family Circus. My favorite movie is Fargo but sometimes it is rivaled by Chasing Amy. I swear by Palahniuk's books and absolutely loved Pygmy, but was that ending intended to be the exact same as 1984, reversed? Anyways, hey

'Portugal. The Man'
i should specify, that's a band, not the place on earth followed by "the man"

Yeah, new girl's down with Kevin Smith, the Coen Brothers, and one of Conor Obersts' better songs. A good start, I'd say.
Welcome. And read Will Christopher Baer. And welcome.
I was in your fine town this past week. All I did there was kick it's ass.
Welcome.

I love how that is THE St. Louis question. I graduate from Francis Howell High next week
It's more St. Charles but, yaknow.

Is Defiance a real place? Sounds suspiciously made up. So does Missouri, though. Also, do you pronounce Missouri like, miz-ur-ah?

Look that shit up, it's for real. My town's name is New Melle, population 287, but to have a New Melle address you have to get your mail at the post office. True story. So, they stick us in Defiance. We've got a gas station, two bars, a couple of churches, and a Purina feed mill. And that's all you're getting for fifteen miles, so drink it all in....and hope you don't need anything after 8pm, because guess what, everything will be closed.
No, but it's true, most everyone else here does. Missouri = Mizzurah, Highway 44 = highway farty far, wash = warsh.
Rain drop hands down, it's got momentum on it's side!

I bet if i heard you talk i'd think, 'hokey honky tonk talk,' and laugh a bit.
Noooooooooo

I've gone back and forth that I-44 across Missouri probably 100 times in my life.
My favorite was one time I was driving back and saw this car hauling ass up behind me and then when it was about 100 feet away it just hung a right for no apparent reason into the side of a mountain.

This is why we can't have nice things.

No, I've heard of it! It's by Grant's Farm in South County, right? My grandparents live out there and I used to have hockey games in Affton a lot. I'd say "small world" but jeez, it's really just "st. louis".

i loathe people who replaces the work "wash" with "warsh".
The power of delusion is incredibly strong
I hates people who don't matches the tense of their verbs and subjects...
(I grew up in Wyoming, where it was typical to warsh your clothes in a crick).
wut
Step back. Evaluate. Recognize.
obviously i meant replace and not replaces.
it was mere typing error.
and word not work.

Sadly my grandma's started doing it since she moved here from Ohio 7 or 8 years ago. She still retains certain wonderful aspects of the Ohio accent though, such as "mondee tuesdee wednesdee thursdee fridee"
I love your avatar, I love that movie. We've been watching it in my ap lit class as well. And I looked at your music list...we're goddamn musical soulmates. A fan of Ryan Adams is a friend o' mine. And dude, Aimee Mann? My dad and I went to see her with Squeeze in September. You better believe that was such a kick-ass awesome show.

My favorite thing about this movie is the way Edward says "daffodils" when he find out those are her favorite flowers.
it's a great movie.
we do have very similar taste in tunes. and movies too!

What movie is it from?
("From what movie is it" would irritate me less as an English major, but alas, in this sentence, that construction is absolutely repulsive.)
big fish.

Okay.
Now go home and get your fuckin' shinebox.
Haha what the hell.
