Let's be friends, doesn't that sound fun?
Hi! I'm Emily and I'm new. I made the account a bit ago but I'm just getting to using it now. I'll be 18 in June and I'm graduating high school this year. I have had many hair colors and I love cats.
My first Palahniuk novel was Fight Club, and unlike most people I did not see the movie first. I instantly fell in love with Chuck's writing style, being a writer myself, and at this point have read all but three of his books (Tell-All, Pygmy, and I'm in the middle of Snuff). My best friend owns all of them and fortunately lets me borrow them when I want.
Aside from Palahniuk, my other passions are filmmaking, music and makeup-design. I go to a high school that is infamous for it's fantastic film program, and I am a well-versed product of that. Over three years of film classes I have learned not only how to analyze films critically but have also learned how to produce my own- from pre-production to post-production.
Last year I worked on my first feature film with my high school (We're the only high school that makes features in the nation). It was a mockumentary on senior year called Prom-icuous. I starred as the awkward plain girl named Julia.
Over the summer I attended Northwestern University as a Film and Video Cherub through scholarships from my high school, and armed with even more knowledge I came pack for my senior year with an idea that packed a real punch. As a result, I was chosen to write this year's feature (I did have a cowriter, he rocks). The film is called Becoming Charlie, I finished writing it about a month ago. Now all we have to do it make it. That's the fun part.
I am a trained vocalist, I've been in honors choirs since I was in fourth grade. I am most comfortable in the soprano range but my range is extensive. I've recorded two cds with my high school choir- one of them a full performance of Orff's Carmina Burana.
If you want to talk about music, movies or Chuck Palahniuk- I am definitely your girl.

Well shit.
Hello Emily, I'm Gabby. Welcome!
Gooble gobble, etc.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Hello!
Carmina Burana was so much fun, especially the soprano part. It's all up in the stratosphere and stuff.
Thanks!

If you're into make up and films and such, you'll wanna talk to Winnie (screen name: Enough). She used to all the make ups for the fancy actor folk.
That's really cool! I like doing bloody scary makeup and stuff like that but I also really like girly makeup 'cause yeah!
"I love the mayhem more than the love."
Hey, I didn't read all of that, but welcome to you!
Why is your username emilyisbollocks? I scanned through your post and I don't think you wrote anything about that.
Hello my dear.
I am Noah, and I am here to ask you some questions. Thing is these questions need full answers to go to town with your answers. I also like you already so please stick around.
Okay so the first question is. If you were a cat, your owner died while making a sandwich, and the fridge is left open.
What kind of sandwich would be left unfinished.
What would you add to the sandwich
and What woulc your name as a cat be?
Question to.
Its Sunday, snow is falling and having trouble sticking. Your walking down a side street trying to find a gas station that is open because your car ran out of gas a few blocks back. As you stumble into a service station you see a horse behind the counter.
What color is the horse and how much is gas?
Mind you, somehow you know this horse is running the service station.
As your attorney, my advise to you is to start drinking heavily(er).-Tuffy
Oh! That's a pretty good question, I didn't talk about that at all in my post! "emilyisbollocks" is a title I adopted when I made a new Twitter account sometime last year or so. Bollocks, as defined by Google search is "a word of Anglo-Saxon origin, meaning 'testicles'. Since then I've been "emilyisbollocks" on several websites. It came to me partially via my love for British television. It makes much more sense if you've ever heard someone use the word "bollocks" correctly in context.

Hello Emily.
I had a friend named Emily when I was young. She changed her name to Rain. I ran into her at a hole in the wall DMV in a minuscule town of about 2000 in southern Oregon once after not seeing her for several years. The only DMV in all of the US where they greet you happily and fall over themselves to help you because they are so bored and lonely working there. I was wearing a pair of fake snakeskin boots that shone like glitter, she was hanging out with some gutter punks that eyeballed my boots with suspicion.
Hi Noah. Your questions kind of rock, I don't think I could not answer these fully. I will indeed be sticking around.
1. TS Eliot's popular book of poetry called Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats is understood to be the authority on cats
and feline matters. That being said, one could recall the poem "The Naming of Cats" to try and figure out their cat name(s). Eliot states therein that "a cat must have three different names." My name to my owner would be Whiskers, probably because as a cat I would have whiskers. My "particular" name, as Eliot describes, would likely be something to the effect Meowlexa. The third name is the name that "the cat himself knows, and will never confess." Thus, I cannot tell you my real name as a cat.
As a person, I like relatively plain sandwiches. First off, I hate cheese so if there were cheese on it, I would take it off. If it were a salami sandwich, I would add crushed plain potato chips for a light crunch. Any other kind of meat, I might add only lettuce and tomato.
With my luck, though, the sandwich would be ham and cheese. I hate cheese and I'm not a big ham fan.
2. The horse is a medium shade of brown, with rich caramel highlights in his or her mane. When I looked outside the price of the gas was $3.75 a gallon, but as the horse opens it's mouth and asks me what I want, I realize that I don't have a means of getting the gas to my car or of getting my car to the gas. It's only then that the horse offers to let me borrow an empty red container for no extra charge. In my wallet I find that I don't nearly have enough to fill up my tank, but I do have what might be enough to get me out of the situation. At no point do I question why the horse is tending the gas station. Crazy things happen sometimes, and he or she appear to be very nice and able.

Rain is a nice name, much nicer than plain ol Emily. I have a friend named Raine with an E, she's new to my high school and she got stabbed once. Really interesting person.
I have never been to a DMV, but I've never heard of anything particularly good happening there. At the ripe age of 17 I still do not have my license, I didn't have time to take the class last year due to the filming of Prom-iscuous. Your glitter snakeskin boots, however, might be the high point of that story. What were the punks suspicious of? Oregon seems like a nice enough place.
"I love the mayhem more than the love."
They were suspicious of my glitter snakeskin boots.
I suppose you never encountered 90's gutter punks, being only seventeen now.
I guess that makes sense. And no I do not (and have never)encountered glitter punks. People here wear mostly neutral clothes, usually to match their equally neutral personality. Not to say that everyone personally reflects how they dress, its just a common coincidence, I think.
"I love the mayhem more than the love."
...I've never encountered glitter punks before either?
You haven't lived...
This is why we can't have nice things.
Hi EmilySquemily.
Welcome.
Do you like the TV show The Young Ones?
Hi Emily, I'm Jessica.
Your first post read like a college application. Like, a very impressive one. I have the strange desire to give you a tour and tell you how much fun our football games are.
What is your favorite book, movie, musical genre, and color. I need all of this information as soon as possible so i can start decorating our dorm.
Don't forget to pledge Pi Alpha!
This is why we can't have nice things.
I'm a Tri Lamb myself.
Welcome.
Well done.
Would you ever eat a lobster?
As your attorney, my advise to you is to start drinking heavily(er).-Tuffy
If I haven't lived, I guess I'll definitely have to encounter glitter punks soon then. Wouldn't wanna not live for the rest of my life!
Oh, my God, if only people thought that about any of my actual college applications. I'd be all in major university film programs like I'm asking their hand in marriage.
My favorite book, ever, is definitely Fight Club. Don't dig the movie so much though. I have a couple favorite movies- Jurassic Park, A Clockwork Orange, Watchmen, Ghostbusters, and the Blues Brothers are my top five. I don't have a particular favorite genre, I just really love all kinds of music. I'm going to see Fun. like two weeks though! My favorite color is teal, but when it comes to clothes I prefer neutrals.
I have never eaten lobster, but I don't like seafood unless it's in sushi. Sushi and I have this great relationship where I don't ask whats in it and the sushi doesn't say anything because it can't talk. I just had some, actually. It's so delicious and amazing, it's hard to describe.
"I love the mayhem more than the love."
I have actually never heard of that show! What's it about?
"I love the mayhem more than the love."
You're alright. Now make a thread elsewhere in the forum and don't suck at it. Or post somewhere else. Which ever you prefer.
I was just coming along to tell her she needs to venture out of here in order to become a real boy, erm, person.

You love British Television and the word Bollocks and you've never heard of The Young Ones?

Make some research.
I thought bollocks were the poops of a bull.
Man, that would've been embarrassing if I'd gone to that London rodeo this summer.
I thought the same.
Emily, don't be afraid to use the quote button when replying to someone.
It stands to reason!
lets be steak sauce
Wow, auto-correct. You're an idiot.
heyyy emily, i'm josh
I just started here too (more recently than you do)
I hope us both have a great time here and keep on being awesome!
Sandwich.
Welcome, Emily
I really want to make that sandwich one day.
I used to make butter sandwiches when I was like 6. I would only eat a bite each time though because they were awful. I remember making them on several occasions though.
I really liked the idea of them.
I love butter. I used to make those Harriet the Spy sandwiches and I actually got addicted to them for a bit. I never thought I would enjoy a tomato mayo sandwich.
My breakfast is toast with butter and cheese. Sometimes cucumber, sometimes radish.
if you guys have seen the movie 17 Again, i made the sandwich that Zac Efron made in the kitchen and to be honest, it was the best thing i have ever made in my life.
Nope.
This is why we can't have nice things.
I just had to check the movie on IMDB:
About a guy whose life didn't quite turn out how he wanted it to and wishes he could go back to high school and change it. He wakes up one day and is seventeen again and gets the chance to rewrite his life.
All I can think is MOVE ON, MAN! Going back to high school.. Geez.
i tried chips on a salami sandwich because bill cosby used to do that in his show. it´s glorious !

Sounds like a shit version of Freaky Friday.
Everyone here is wayyyy too cool for that girly ass high school musical shit.
I know what you're talking about though and you're absolutely disgusting.
Hi Emily, I'm Dede. Welcome

Well, you seem like you know what you like/wanna do in life.
I read the book the month before seeing the movie, but I'm sure it still counts.
Carmina Burana is one of my favourite pieces of classical music, so high 5 and welcome to The Cult!
