In america we have this kind of cheese that's not really cheese at all but like, some kind of congealed wax/preservative with cheese flavoring pressed into little slices wrapped in celophane. We even call it American cheese, as if we're proud of it.

edit: then there's also Cheez Wiz, which is basically the same thing except it is squirted out of an aerosol can like shaving gel. tres magnifique

But of course. we are the great melting pot. There's even a good French restaurant in town, but I haven't been brave enough to try any snails or frog legs yet. Plus it's too expensive for me
