I guess I say 'hi' here?
Hello cult members. Long time Chuck fan, occasional lurker on this site, now a member. I live in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. I did not know Emily
Favourite Chuck book is Invisible Monsters, with Survivor, Fight Club, Choke, Lullaby, Rant, Fugitives and Refugees, Stranger than Fiction, and Damned also being high up there. Least favourite was Pygmy, mostly for how it was written, not the story itself. Have yet to read Tell-All.
Chuck visits here tomorrow (Monday) and I'm very much looking forward to it. He was here in 2007 for the Rant tour. He read Guts, I got light-headed (even though I had already read it). I have crappy video from that reading on my YouTube channel.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. Thanks for having me! I don't know how active I'll be, but I have a few things to contribute.
Plan
I know I have. I've even disliked some of his books I haven't even read.
Also, welcome new person.

so what's the plan?
Ya, I didn't care for Diary. I almost gave up on it, but I did eventually finish it. It's been so long since I read it though, I can't remember what I disliked about it. I'll revisit it one day...maybe.
The plan is to ask Chuck if he had as hard a time writing Pygmy as I had reading it. That, and to get my hands on a brain!
You probably didn't like that 75% of that book was filler.
That's when my husband walked to the stairs. Peter walked to the stairs. Yes - You walked to the stairs, Peter. You walked to the stairs while Misty, your wife watched. I watched you walk to the stairs.
(not an actual quote haha)
Also - Welcome!
Alecia, have you read it? That's how the book is written. lol
The most annoying thing about that book is that I don't remember a thing about it. Not that I think it was good, clearly I didn't, but I do remember putting in the time to read it.
What I'm saying is, I feel like that book roofied me and I don't like it.
What I'm saying is, I feel like that book roofied me and I don't like it.
That's probably why I liked it.
Ya, I don't remember a thing about it either. I had a friend give up on it completely after getting about 1/3 into it. I stopped halfway and read some other books, then came back to it and slogged through the rest just to say I did.
BTW - just got back from seeing Chuck in Victoria. Got me a Bounty Bar and an inflatable skeleton...no autographed brain for me
Good times though...he read "Romance" and "Knock Knock". I have some crappy video I'll be posting soon.
Thanks for the warm welcome!

I was going to say something about how I know and maybe we could do it again sometime... but then I hesitated. I finally realized that this hesitation is the second biggest difference between you and me.
The first is that you liked Diary. Weirdo.
Yeah, so I've been told.
Why did you choose that avatar Mr. Man? It's quite creepy in a strange way.
If you want to write that out each time I'm cool with it. Cheers!
It's just a picture of me...couple years old now, but I still look like that for the most part. Sometimes I don't smile quite so big. You think I'm creepy? I guess I can see that...
Just wondering... do you guys have Jack in the Box in Norway or The Netherlands?
That may or may not explain the creepiness. Because his avatar just makes me think of tacos.

Hello Plan.
Have you ever read a Palahniuk book that you didn't like?
