I am Jill's Nipple.
Hello everyone, I'm new here.
Like a lot of people, "Fight Club" is how I was introduced to Palahniuk's work. I didn't realize the movie was actually based on a book until the last year or so, but once I found the book, I started looking for more Palahniuk books. So far, I've read [U]Choke[/U], [U]Invisible Monsters[/U], [U]Lullabye[/U], and I'm currently reading [U]Haunted[/U]. So far, I think [U]Lullabye[/U] and [U]Haunted[/U] are my favorites.
There seem to be a lot of great people on this forum, and I'm looking forward to getting to know most of you. :stups:

I do enjoy seeing people I hate die horrible deaths that leave them with no option but a closed casket. At least, I would, if that happened. But it doesn't, because I'm not lucky.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm really not very dependent on authors. I've always loved to read, and if it's a good enough book, I could care less who the author is. I love horror, so Stephen King is fun. I also love sickos, so I'm a fan of Poppy Z. Brite. But I'll read anything, Oscar Wilde to JK Rowling.
Of course, I'm always looking for new authors to read - any you'd like to suggest?

I read Exquisite Corpse by Poppy Z Brite years ago - don't remember it very well, but I liked it. Hmm, Bret Easton Ellis is kind of a sicko, I'm a fan. I read The Secret History by Donna Tartt recently, not sick but very enjoyable!

[U]Exquisite Corpse[/U] was the first of her novels I read as well. If you wanted to read more, I'd suggest [U]Drawing Blood[/U]. Some of hers are better, some are worse, but all are pretty good books IMHO. I'll be sure to check out Ellis and Tartt and let you know what I think.
