Holy Forum Newbie, Batman!
I suppose it's a little late to post an introduction, since I've been using the forums for a couple of days, but it won't hurt to explain what I'm all about and get to know some of you, right?
Anyway, the name's Min, Mindy, Myn, Mim, Triple-M, or whatever other weird pet names you care to brand me with. I've been a fan of Palahniuk ever since I read Haunted in 9th grade, and since then I've gone back and read Fight Club, Choke, Invisible Monsters, and Pygmy once it came out.
As far as my actual life goes, I'm a startup author with one book out and a sequel in the works. I enjoy reading and writing most any genre except romance and anything with a heavy religious overtone. I'm studying to eventually become a surgeon and I spend my free time watching old classic cartoons and playing Portal (for the moment, until I beat the game). I never give out my real age on forums. Recently, I renounced philosophy.
Well, that's pretty much all I have to say. Who are you guys?
I'm assuming you drew that conclusion on the basis that I couldn't have been in 9th grade (i.e. 14 or 15) before Haunted came out. Then again, "roughly" could mean anything--you could be using a margin of error of 50 years, putting me anywhere between 70 and -30.

i am fairly new to this site as well, and i go by the name mercy...oh, mercy me...anyhoo, i rarely divulge my actual age as well, but feel free to guess.. 
i have 2 kids and am currently thinking about getting back with my ex husband...i guess i'm a glutton for punishment...i've wanted to be a fiction writer since i was a teen, and am currently writing my masterpiece...it's a comedy...and my first try at that genre...but i am having fun...and that's what it's all about, right? well, that and orgasms...wait..what??? lol

And yes, I'm aware the refusal to take a philosophical position is in itself a philosophical position. People point that out to me all the time. I'm not particularly concerned about it.
