Hi
Hi *waving* I am new. I thought that the group seemed interesting so I decided to join. I live in Texas. I was a chuck fan when I was younger but kinda lost interest when he started doing those horror books. Sorry chuck. I really like invisible monsters though.
I can see Haunted as a horror book, but all of his others don't seem like they would be. What ones are you meaning? also, welcome.
I was thinking of lullaby actually. I read that when it came out, granted I was much younger, so it might be the greatest thing ever but that was when I stopped reading him. I tried to pick him up again with Rant but the style kind of put me off.
I think Rant was his last "good" book. Somehow, I managed to drag myself through Snuff, and didn't even bother with Pygmy. I've got Tell-All and Damned but just haven't found the strength to give 'em a go yet.
What's weird is I think most if not all his newer books would make good movies rather than books. I could even see Snuff being good if it was like a Showtime original movie.
I haven't read Tell-All or Damned yet. I didn't like Pygmy at all and Snuff I just hated. Rant, however, is one of my favorites. Definitely worth reading, in my opinion.
Seriously, how great would a Rant movie be if they got a different actor to play him depending on who's telling the story? If they do end up doing that, I want a thank you in the end credits!
I live where you live!

Hello new person.
Like the Terry Gilliam film where others actors replaced Heath Ledger ?

I did read snuff actually now that you say that. Good points. I feel like when I read him I am just waiting around for the big twist that is generally a let down. Almost like an m night shamawhatshisname movie

bastard stole that from me
Welcome to The Cult.
Invisible Monsters is my favourite. What other authors do you like?
Get yourself an avatar so I don't think you are spam.
Cheers.
The only ones I don't like are Snuff and Stranger Than Fiction. What is up with the whole gangbang theme of Snuff? What type of book is that considered? Group Sex Mystery Thriller? And not to mention the kid beat off on his mother or something? You should never jizz on your own mom. That is low. But anyway, I always believed that Rant would make a good movie as well. Especially the parts with classic cars, that would look so cool, the potential for a movie like that would be unlimited. I always kind of pictured it taking place in a parallel dimension or something as well.
HI. YOU CAN'T SEE THIS BUT I HAVE A REALLY HUGE POST COUNT.

Welcome.
Invisible Monsters is a really good book; which ones exactly didn't you like?
