HeY! Just joined today!
The first of Chuck's books I read was "Haunted" and it was on from there! Lol. I just read "Snuff" and it was friggin awesome. I just started on "Stranger than Fiction". His books are so addicting. It takes a really interesting book for me to sit down and read it straight through like I did "Snuff". I can't get enough of these books.
Demolition Derby
I have my own car.
Well, don't you need a new car each time?
Lol not necessarily. It still runs and is not too beat up
Now that I can get behind...wait...ok no that still works. Demolition Derby sounds fun. I'd be excellent at wrecking my own car.
Oh also I wanna know more about this demolition derby stuff...Do you have like a badass name for your car? Do you have a special derby name? How did you get into it?
It used to be a tradition that we would go to the Demolition Derby on my birthday every year. We would go get wasted in the beer tent and then watch cars get destroyed. It was a good time!
My car's name is Dixie Thunder and she's pink
My husband (now) is the one that got me into it. Because of him I like working on cars and doing other "mechanical" type stuff. It's effing awesome to just smash into someone. I was so sore after my first one. I couldn't move my neck or head for 3 days but it was totally worth it. That does sound like a good time P. I wish I could be drunk and in a derby but that's not allowed
If you are lucky enough to be in one that doesn't allow cheating, it's a lot more fun. You get guys that put all kinds of shite in their cars that they aren't supposed to and then they win the money. For me, winning the money would just be a bonus. There aren't many girls that want to run with the boys. They wanna do "powder puff demo derby" F THAT! Grow a pair and get in there! LOL
Haunted was definitely a good place to start! ... Even though a Chuck newbie could be unprepared to face Guts.
That sounds pretty awesome.
LOL. I am just glad that I read it to begin with. I bought the book a long time ago and just finished it a couple weeks ago. When I was done, I said to my husband "That was a good book but it was effed up!" That's got to be the reason I like it to begin with. It's nice to see that I'm not the only one....
You know they say that the first step is to admit you have a problem.... His books are really that damn good!
It IS awesome Audrey!
We say FUCK in this forum!
Unless you're against that sort of thing. Then you can say eff if you want to.
I've never driven in a derby. I hope I didn't give the impression. Just watched them drunk. If I was to drive, I wouldn't want to do it drunk. I'd want to have the full experience!

Alcohol will just intensify the experience and minimize the pain haha I'd love to try derby, haven't really heard of derby around here but I'm sure there is.
Ok 2 words then. Fuck yeah! LOL
I would definitely look into it. I am really glad that no derbies are going on right now as hot as it is. Yall need to read the chapter called "Demolition" in "Stranger than Fiction", if you haven't already. It really gives a good look into what all goes on in a derby. Just subtract the combines and add old ass land barges and sometimes old ass stationwagons. LOL
I would so rock an old station wagon and call it Big Momma cuz I think I'm cool by sounding ironic.
I really do love how when derby is mentioned you immediately think of me.

Timberly?!
Welcome do you like roller derby? or is it derby like the kentucky derby?
