Hey everybody! Let's point and laugh at the new kid.
So I get to be the new guy. That's great. I'll try not to whimper like the fresh fish in the cell block.
I hate to admit it but I am not a writer, so I may not fit in here. On the other hand I am a reader, and a Chuck fan.
I started reading Chuck in 99...I think. Those years are a little blurry.
Well, anyway. I plan on doing a lot of reading now that I actually went through the trouble registering on here. I'll try to post some constructive criticism if I read your work. But, I am by no means an expert on writing so take what I say with a grain of salt. PLEASE!
That goes for everything, not just my reviews.
bonjour
I'll try to hold on to those reputation points but I'm not making any promises.
The punch was refreshing. Thanks.

“...There are so many ways of being despicable it quite makes one's head spin. But the way to be really despicable is to be contemptuous of other people's pain. You ought to have some apprehension that the man you see before you was once even younger than you are now and arrived at his present wretchedness by imperceptible degrees.”

If somebody had just made me watch Fight Club last week I'd still be laying in bed making sweet love to them.
I'm looking. Now what?

Consider your advice taken but I think I'll make the judgement myself. You can say I told you so later if you like.

Touché
Touché
What does that mean? Is it like French or something or does it mean touchy?
I feel violated. Is that normal?

Tou·ché
-Used to acknowledge a hit in fencing or a successful criticism or an effective point in argument.
How can you feel violated? Like raped or abused or what?
Speaking of rape, are you a guy or a girl? I'm betting on guy since you said so in your first post but I have to check.
And someone tell me what touche means.
Oh, so it's like the old 'owned' (or 'pwned' for the more advanced users). Nice.

Enjoy your time in the asylum. Beware the naysayers crawling everywhere.
that was nice
I like it how Balthazar keeps going around being extra-nice to everone. Like "bojour" and "touche" and "nice one."
Enjoy your time in the asylum. Beware the naysayers crawling everywhere.
I love your metaphors owen.
Hi new dude! Ive been having a pretty good time so far- even if I am still sitting on the sidelines somewhat. Welcome.

Damn I keep posting compliments all around the place.

My sig, or someone else's? It's from an old Queen song, and it's my mantra when it comes to teaching.
I am a guy. French always makes me feel violated. I can't say that I understand why.
My sig, or someone else's? It's from an old Queen song, and it's my mantra when it comes to teaching.
No Owen, your sig sucks. I meant the sig of the dude above me: "A stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet."
That is a nice sig. I need to come up with one but I am not feeling very "original" today.

Sorry.
To be honest, I just liked the naive and yet cool and cute way you said "Hi new dude" so that's why I said 'dude' even though I don't like using this word otherwise.

Looks like my thread has died.
And I got my copy of Postcards from the Future today and it wasn't signed. Guess it's not a good night for the new kid.

Hello, enjoy your stay!
I like you.
And remember, your life here is ending, one reputation point at a time.
