hi, i'm super new here, although, i've been browsing the website the past three days. it's a little intimidating around here but i guess i'll have to toughen up soon if i plan on being a part of the chaos. i find that i'm not as clever or witty online as i am in person so bear with me if i suck.
i got into chuck several years ago when a friend of a friend came over with a stack of recommended books for me to read. among them was choke (and something by tom robbins, i think) and from then on it was love (more like infatuation).
that's all i can think of to say right now, also, i'm supposed to be pretending to work so i'm going to go do that.

thanks for the warm welcome. but wow. that was relatively quick. it looks like everyone else might be bored as well. and this is already my new addiction. i have been on here occupying myself all day.
and i am female. from nyc. and si, hablo espanol. my parents both hail from puerto rico, i was born and bred here.
i'm not too crazy about pets but i do prefer cats. dogs scare me for whatever reason...even tiny dogs like chihuahuas. i had a cat before i moved out..his name was igby and he was horrible but i loved him. what other questions were there ? oh yeah...
as for authors, i don't stick to authors or genres much, i tend to read whatever reputable people recommend (which is how i heard about chuck in the first place). right now i'm starting on the 4th harry potter again. i expect to be made fun of for that one. before reading harry potter i read cat's cradle by vonnegut. but i mostly go on recommendations. can you say, redundant ?!
okay, as for the drink question..i don't drink too often but when i do i prefer hard liquor. i'm gangsta like that. vodka, tequila, rum, whiskey, you name it, pour it into a shot glass and i'll drink it. if i have to have mixed drinks i'll have a whiskey sour. no girly drinks for me.

oh, also, i tend to use ellipses a lot..i hope that doesn't drive anyone insane.

hey, Dont. welcome to the cult. i love vonnegut, hate harry potter.. dont trip: there are several fans here of the potter books. remember that many people grew up reading those books, so this last one coming out (or came out--hell, i dont know) bring with it all of the estalgia of the poorly written series. sorry, my intention was not to jab..
there is a lot of history here. and a lot of book recommendations. you kind of shine across as someone who would love Jude in the phineas trilogy. maybe try picking up Kiss Me, Judas by Will Christopher Baer as a future read. and trust me, as long as youre a cultist, you'll never utter the these words:
