School? Oh no. I'm not a kid, thank god. I work in Radiology at an imaging clinic. I sing in band on the weekends. I'm about to embark on renovating an old bank building from 1932 that I'm to inherit to become an office space with adjoining apartment. Well thank you Jessica! In my experience, I find most Jessicas to be pretty cool and I'm sure you are no exception.

Joshua Ferris would be my other favorite, if you haven't read The Unnamed, it's definitely worth a read. I highly recommend it for anyone to better understand someone struggling with impulse control whether it be physical or mental. Great fictional read with elements of real life struggle. I love Kill Bill and most Quentin Tarantino films. I fell into Radiology after a stint in Audiology. I'm not a Dr. actually, I work alongside him as tech/support staff. Lacks of radios is a bummer but the amount of radiation that is scatter-blasted into me everyday is pretty awesome. Power animal would be a hamster, unassuming but able to be it's own storage unit. April Ludgate and Andy Dwyer is the perfect couple from my favorite show, Parks and Recreation. Nirvana, I was actually alive and able to buy their cds when they were playing live so I'm not a poseur in that regard. Beck, Radiohead, and Pixies are currently on my Walkman also. I was previously in a band called Cooper Black with my AZ friend who turned me onto Chuck and my new band is called Vicious Cycle, it's hard to classify my music so I'll just call it low-fi, garage crap. I'm currently learning to play mandolin because ukeleles are a dime a dozen youtubes. My family calls me Jessie and my partner calls me Jess. I love lobster and would be happy to share with you over a cup of drawn butter, my new friend, Jessica. *smiles*

Perhaps due to my location but in my experience, I find most Jessicas to be at least 50% African American but judging from your avatar, you are an exception. It's disappointing but I'll get over it.

A good friend of mine listens to old Jazz on a reel to reel. He's from Moscow and when the CCCP collapsed he came here, bringing the reel to reel player with him. I used to tell him that while he was listening to his music, Soviet Tape Player was listening to him.

I prefer to listen to vinyl or cds on an actual stereo, but I can't carry that shit around with me on the subway so I put mp3s on my phone. I'd like to see you carrying reel to reel tapes around in your pocket.

I enjoy carrying around several GBs of music, which would be quite annoying with a walkman. Also, when the batteries are dying, and the walkman starts to slow down the music? It drives me nuts. I always get paranoid and wonder "Is it playing slower now? Am I crazy?". NO! Go iPod.

It is good to not worry about people judging you but that was not what I asked.

I meant, how do you feel about having a written tattoo in which the words mean something to you in a place where you cannot easily read it yourself?

My only quote tattoo I put in a place where I literally look at it and read it daily, I also had it put on so the direction of the words face me, so I can read it, it is upside down to everyone else because it is not for everyone else- which is the main comment I get on it "why is it upside down?" ..."well, hon. It isn't. I can read it and it is for me not you, therefore it is not upside down."

I just always wondered about quotes that mean something to people being put in places where it is easy to forget they are there as the person cannot see them.
