Hello, First Real Post
Hello,
My name is Nic. I am a writer!! Well im working on it. I had never heared of Chuck Palahniuk untill a few diffrent friends of mine had read some of my short storys and novel intro's. They as in three diffrent friends said to check out Chuck Palahniuk because aparently my writting style was like his. So I went out and bought Snuff and I can't put it down. I think ill check out Choke next unless any one else has a better idea on what one I should check out. Im thinking im going to use my blog space as a rant thread or just daily thoughts, but we shall see what happens. Hope to get to know a few of you over time. It's great to be here.
Nic
Hey!

Hi, Nic. Where are you from? I thought Snuff was dreadful, but loved Choke.
If you are interested in working on your writing, I'd suggest becoming a member of the Writer's Workshop here. I hear it's amazing.
hey dude. snuff is bad. others are better. good luck here!!

fight club, choke, lullaby, survivor, invisible monsters, in that order. these are the recipes for the 5-course literary extravaganza you need to whet your palahniuk palate.
I have have learned more from the workshop than anywhere else. It's great and worth a lot more than you have to pay for it!
I liked Snuff!

I haven't read 'Snuff' yet, but it's on my nightstand under Irvine Welsh's 'Filth' and Kurt Vonnegut's 'Sirens of Titan.'
If you want to read something that'll blow your mind, read 'Invisible Monsters,' 'Survivor,' or 'Diary' next. 'Diary' was the first Chuck book that I read and it was on a whim because my wife (then girlfriend) had it collecting dust and thought I might like it on my flight to Korea... and then I was hooked.
Those three books changed my entire literary world.
Oh, and welcome aboard.

My name is Z! Welcome to the Cult!
I didn't really like "Snuff." "Invisible Monsters," "Rant," and "Fight Club" are much better.
Well Damn. I had written a long post and my wireless cut off so here we go again. I am from Nova Scotia, Canada. I am also taking writting corses at my school. I am 23 years old and have been writting since I was 12 years old. I think im going to be useing a Blog on here as often as I can I hope you will all tune in and I can captavte you. My spelling and grammer is poor but I am working on it. I think Choke will be the next Chuck book, but I have a huge pile of books to burn through first. The Road, The Sea Captions Wife, The Wave, Fear and Loathing in Las Vages, Frankenstine, The Great Gatsby, 1984, and Heart of Darkness and other tales. I can fit Choke in there some where. I uasilly dont get novel by the same wirters because alot of them are redundent and when I read a book I want a new story. I feel Chuck can deliver so I am excited to read more of his stuff. As for him being gay I care not, Transsexaul, Gay, Straight, Color, Religious I don't care we are all the same inside. We are people and every one is worth as much as the next person no exceptions. I just wish the rest of the world was the same. Thank you every one for the warm welcome.

Hey.
Snuff is a good chunk of fucked-up fun (not a great chunk.) Lullaby is goddamn brilliant. Rant, I'm still trying to wrap my head around.
Choke, though, is definitely a good next step.
And I wholeheartedly reccccccommmmend the workshop.
Welcome.
would anybody tell me if i was gettin'... stupider?
Welcome.
I recommend joining the workshop... And a proofreader.
