Hi,

I just became a member and am currently navigating my way around the site. My life became forever changed when a friend loaned me a copy of Invisible Monsters. I have read the majority of Chuck's books (I'm currently reading Lullaby) and I have re-read my favorites, namely Survivor, Fight Club and Invisible Monsters, more times than I can count on two hands.

Chuck's writing has inspired me in my own writing endeavors which will never parallel his creativity and insightful observations of society and humanity as we know it.

I'm excited to be a part of this group and to meet and share with others!

I seem to be having some trouble with the groups. I joined the Book Club group but it seems that the postings are from 2009? Did I join the wrong group?

I like Hubert Selby Jr, Don DeLillo, Vonnegut, Camus and Faulkner are among my favorites. I tend to like the post modern apocalyptic horror genre and anything abstract and obscure. I recently read Geek Love by Katherine Dunn which was really excellent. How about you?

Hi there. Welcome here.

Invisible Monsters was one of those books that I really enjoyed but didn't really feel I was taking anything too extrodinary from until the very last page. And then I could have cried and thrown up and choked and screamed and... you get the point. I did none, but I did float in awe.
