Hi there,

I've been a fan of Chuck's work for several years and have recently joined The Cult. I also ordered the documentary and watched it over the weekend. My husband has never read any of the books also enjoyed watching the documentary.

I live in Florida with my husband and 9-year-old boston terrier baby. I work in nonprofit and am working on a masters in early childhood education. I enjoy reading, shopping, hitting yards sales and thrift shops and walking. My husband collects scifi and horror action figures so we have fun attending the big FX toy convention in Orlando each year.

The first Chuck book I read was Lullaby. A friend lent it to me. I was hooked! My favorite is a toss up between Choke and Invisible Monsters. I did not like the Choke movie, though. I read Fugitives and Refugees while I was vacationing on a llama farm outside of Asheville, NC. Reading a book about one city while vacationing in another is kind of cheating on your vacation spot!

Hi and Welcome Leah,

I think Choke is my favourite Chuck book but I might give Invisible Monsters another read sometime.

Have a good look around, there is lots to do

You picked a good time to join. We're all getting used to the new and improved site.

Welcome.

I've got to admit. The only thing i got from that was "9 year old boston terrier baby" and thought, "that's no baby, in fact, it's getting pretty long in the tooth and will probably die soon."
I felt bad.
But welcome anyways.

Thanks for all the hello's and welcome's - even the one from the guy that brought up my sweet doggie dying! She's actually not quite 9. She'll be a young 8 until next month!

Yes, the llama farm was very cool! The place is called Cabin Cove Farms and they rent the cabin year round. It was a great escape from the Florida heat.
