greetings from germany
hi,
a good friend of mine introduced me to this genius of a writer and of course i've seen the fight club movie first. but i was a fan of norton and pitt before.
damn, being a chuck palahniuk addict like me must be like being addicted to heroin to junkies... already i have read fight club, survivor, invisible monsters, choke, lullaby, fugitives and refugees, stranger than fiction, haunted & rant, and now i'm like a junkie without heroin
i cant wait for a new book, that should be snuff, right ? does anyone here have accurate news when it'll be out ?
greetings from germany,
shine
unfortunately, i was not, i didnt hear / read anything about him being here, just read it a few seconds ago, in this forum, i'm a member since just a few minutes.
i'm from cologne, a big town in the former western part of germany.
tell you more about myself ? well, ask
Hey I know Cologne, was there a nightclub there called Poison a few years ago?
Is Cujo a good name for a cat?
what other writers do you like?
Oh yeah, dude or chick?
Willkommen!
That's about it for my German except: Wir gehen tanzen und trinken, ja?
I think it will be a bit of a wait for SNUFF. RANT still needs to be realeased in paperback.
yeah, and i think there still is, but i've never been there.
you can name your cat cujo, though stephen king named a dog after that
is it a male cat or a female one ?
besides chuck i like bret easton ellis, tc boyle, john irving, irvine welsh, patrick süsskind, thomas harris, stephen king, jiddhu krishnamoorthy, mario puzo, ephraim kishon, helge schneider, harald schmidt, don delillo, lisa scottoline, john grisham, JRR tolkien etc.
i'm an indian dude.
nice german, mirka
i'm confused now, i bought rant as a paperback in germany ? in english AND german...
Cujo is a male.
As for Rant, it came out in Hardback in the US and large paperbcak in Europe. I must say the European cover was terrible.
Did you get your name from the Stephen King book The Shining? If you did I like you already.
its available as large paperback in german and english in germany.
no, better, my real name is shine (i'm indian and my parents were hippies the time i was born)
but i still like that book
There is another Indian here called Jugal, a nice guy aswell. I wish my parents were Hippies, my real name is Derek.
well, i'm off to sleep
good night, read y'all later...
For whenever you wake up Germany.... -------> Hello!
Hello.
The best man at my wedding was German. His name is Patrick so if you see him say hello and punch him in the back of the head for me.
I owe him one and can't afford to fly over there.
Your an Indian and you live in Germany? How you like it over there? What Chuck P. book is your favorite so far? Are you full blooded Native American Indian?
Hello and Welcome to the Cult!

@ labelleza : hello back
i think theres a 6 hours difference between germany and the states, so when its midnight here, its 6 in the evening there...
@ seanink : there are so many patricks in germany, you'd have to reveal his adress so i can punch him in the back of his head
@ gman2065g : i was born here, my parents are both indian so it makes me a fullblood indian (from india, not native american), yeah i like it here in germany, racism things going on but not so much in the part where i live, anyway, in india i'd be off badder, my favourite chuck book ? i cant decide, dude. i love em all...
@ ladychaos : i'm from the southern part of india, called "kerala", but i was born and i live in germany.
It says on your myspace you are 70 years old. To be honest you dont look a day over 60!
