Welcome in. My best advice is read the forums, first to last, skipping the book ones for now. News, Author, New Members, General Discussion, Writers' Forums.
Get a general idea of who is who. Remember that most of those who sound a bit surly really are not, except Klopper of course (Beware the Klopper!) Not that he is all bad, he isnt and the highly intellectual tend to be unforgiving, be patient.
Most of them are decent, some are really rough, many are truly helpful and open-minded.
Enjoy. Get into the workshops!
If you need anything the moderators are very well trained and familiar with everything or can point you in the right direction, and if i can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to ask.
