greetings
Hi, ya’ll hope you all had a fantastic weekend! As for me I must admit my life is totally average, no exciting adventures up in the club, no intoxicated nights at a dive bar and no random sex acts (they weren’t random at all, lol). Friday night was spent in search of sushi, I have no interest in eating pretty bait, despite trying it several times! But I thought you might be interested to know that I spent Saturday morning scouring center city for some reading material. I hadn’t read Snuff so I wanted to get that…quick read…and I did happen to find House of Leaves…actually the last copy in Barnes and Nobel (not such a quick read, but I am working on it) So after a nice breakfast with the Amish I went home started reading and took a long leisurely nap. (ahh, weekends and I are well suited) Then I was off to my best friends’ apartment where they insisted on telling me what a complete nerd I am as we passed the dutchie and kicked some major zombie butt in The House of the Dead parts I and II. (They have Wii) Sunday was spent turning pages and a trip to the KFC (what??? I wanted boneless honey bbq wings) it was time for some football…the Eagles won and all was well in the universe. This brings us to this morning and the daily shuffle off to the j-o-b!
So, thanks for the book recommendations, keep them coming.
Ok, NP...i've been meaning to bring this up...House of Leaves is really hard to read! It reminds me of the Choose Your Own Adventure stories, but in ADD format! (I am not saying it isn't a good story, just difficult to read) Visually it isn't appealing, but i am still working on it.
oh yeah, i should have mentioned that. But it's worth it when you get all the way through it. one of the most haunting books i've ever read!
I haven't had much time to read with my busy weekend schedule of playing video games and eating cheesesteaks (that's what we really do in Philly)ok, well for me it is a buffalo chicken cheesesteak, but close enough... to get done with it. I do feel lost in the maze myself...and oddly enough I am finding some strange little things that are kinda freaking me out even as I worry about Johnny T.
It could be that Navi's wife and I share a first name? or that I can relate to Johnny's feelings...not sure actually?
NP i am not too sure I'm gonna let you pick books for me anymore, lol!
well, after this just get that Voice of the Fire one and if you don't like either then I won't force anymore on you.
But really, then get Knut Hamsun's Hunger and then Dostoevsky's Dream of a Ridiculous Man.
is this like a literary rape...where the assaliant forces books into (on to?) you and makes you read and tell him that you like it or he'll get mad and give you harder books?
am I getting victimized...
lmao.
No, I do like the book and I am enjoying it...i just haven't had the time to dedicate to completing it.
naaahh! all those other books are progressively gentler. Heck, the Dosto one is just a little short story you can probably find online.
it's true! i only took bathroom breaks and to eat a few times.
it's the only book where i felt like i was a different person after having read it. i even went so far as to shave off my beard and everything. that next day at work everyone kept calling me "Babyface!"

love that story
and cannot wait
my woman just started demon theory and im next ! slow that i am and all..
