Fresh blood
I posted a blog late last night before really figuring out where to post an introduction, so I'll just copy and paste what I wrote then, because I'm being fucking lazy at the moment.
I'm Jennifer. I'm 29, although I look about 18. I have a daughter who will be turning 2 this July. I swear a lot and consume massive amounts of black coffee. I am a college student for the millionth time(don't ask). I'm a semi "retired" B-horror actress and model who's originally from New York. Look up the name Jane Scarlett on google or the IMDb, and that's me in my former glory.
I've always been a fan of Chuck Palahniuk's writing. I've recently taken to writing myself, mainly about my years working as a model/actress in Manhattan and living with my heroin-addict roommate/soft-core porn actress. Good times.
Anyways, hello everyone/anyone who's even reading this nonsense.
Time for more coffee. I look forward to writing more/talking to people/learning more as a part of this site.

Hey Kabol-thanks for the welcome and your post on my blog as well.
As for films I've done haha..."Flesh for the Beast" was my first major role and probably one of the better films I've done. I won't say I'm a great actress or anything, but if you're a fan of extremely bloody low-budget horror with lots of nudity, there ya' go haha!
Also, "Satan's Schoolgirls" is another fun little T&A horror flick I did. Besides that, I think a lot of the other films I did never saw finishing due to budget issues. So much for low-budget horror flicks, eh?
As for favorite authors, I have a lot. I just enjoy reading in general. I like Bret Easton Ellis a lot as well. I tend to like very gritty and sardonic stuff, much like Ellis or Palahniuk. I'm not a fan of big shiny happy endings. One favorite book of mine I have read again and again(besides "Invisible Monsters" which is my favorite book by Mr. Palahniuk), is "The Virgin Suicides" by Jeffrey Eugenides.
JD Salinger, yes. The other's I'll have to check out. I'm also a fan of Ray Bradbury, which is completely random haha...
Right now I finished up reading "Skinny" by Ibi Kaslik(I have a weird thing with stories-fictional or non-about anorexics), and am also reading both "Rant" by Chuck and "Blood Crazy" by Simon Clark.
Thanks again, I look forward to joining the writer's workshop and checking out some of Chuck's essays you mentioned

this is a baer, featured under short stories here:
http://chuckpalahniuk.net/features/shorts/suffer-the-fool
he has several more on his website over at the velvet:
he and clevenger have both instructed writing intensives here. clev is one of chuck's favorite writers. along with hempel and mark richard and denis johnson
oh, and dennis (the cult webmaster, not johnson) just got back from ellis's house a few weeks ago and upped the fantastic interview found here:
http://chuckpalahniuk.net/interviews
there is, needless to state, a huge ellis following here. looking forward to imperial bedrooms, the less than zero prequel. (random, that is to this day one of my woman's top two, seconded only to into the wild, which is itself coincidentally another of chuck's favorite reads.)
i think, just maybe youve come to the right place

Hi Jen
Welcome to the Cult
Im a relatively new member myself, well i guess ive been here for a few months now. The great thing about this site is there is sooo much to do. The chat room is full of really nice, genuine and friendly people, willing to more or less discuss anything! They are also a nice bunch who know alot! If you got any questions, guarantted someone will know the answer youre looking for.
The recommended section where Chuck's faveourite books/authors and staff fave's are really useful if you want to add to your book collection/library! haha Ive purchased around 5 Books so far all influenced by the recommended section. All 5 have turned out to be verrrry good reads.
Im also a fan of Bret Easton Ellis. Glamorama was my first read by Ellis. I have Lunar Park as my next read
Anyways, hope to catch you in the Chat room sometime..Welcome again and take care.

I believe that I have also seen Satan's School Girls while skimming through late night tv. But then Heavy Metal was on IFC, and I had no choice.
