Do you suppose she's a wildflower?
Also, I prefer the warm/cooked sushi over the raw stuff.
We've had him for a month and a half now and he responds to Tidus pretty well (sometimes I try to call him Washington for kicks but he doesn't seem to appreciate the name like I do).
I'm alll about the raw stuff, but cooked sushi is like a whole other, beautiful world.
Patience and cat treats! They will be a-speaking your language in good time.
And facial deformities aside, this chica is pretty cool.
But I still didn't read the original post.
Des, I really appreciate your open-mindedness and acceptance of my facial deformities. In this world, people like you are rare gems. I thank you for your kind and gracious nature.
Also, CliffsNotes: Arkadia is a 21 year old cheapskate from Australia who likes to write, read, draw and play with her cats. She's also a bit weird.
I didn't know I could boil my post down so thoroughly. I'm cringing in shame.
Thus far! I am totally a ticking timebomb waiting to explode. Watch your back
Don't ask how that came out as a question.
I'm exactly the opposite of deformity? That is the nicest thing someone has said to me all week!
You're doing a kick-ass job in workshop so far. Good stuff. I'll have to check out one of your subs when you post one.
Any chance we can see some photography?
Thanks very much
I really like (properly) critiquing others work, it's infinitely helpful to me as a writer and I totally get a 'good Samaritan' buzz for like half an hour after I've posted one.
Here's a shot from the last shoot I did, like two weeks ago:

I'm on the far right.
By the way, I reallyyy like your ?first edition? hardcover bookcover. I have a major thing for good-looking bookcovers. The other cover is neat too (the one in your sig), but the one I'm talking about just strikes a cord with my sense of aesthetic.
Cats and books, what more does one need in life?
(don't answer that)
aaand she's Australian! YAY
There are a few of us Culties who are Aussie, living abroad in my case. Where abouts are you from?
Kit, you're Australian?

Ooh where are you living right now? I've spent about 15 months in the US, living there on and off.
I was hoping some other Aussies had crawled their way into these forums. Nice.
I'm from Adelaide. Beautiful city, dull people. I'm not sure if I've ever met someone really intelligent who was born here. I hate it. Where are you from (don't say Adelaide!)?

Great photo! Very nice stuff...would love to see more.
Thanks for the cover props

I don't want to be one of those girls who clutters up a thread with photos of herself, that would be a bit weird, but if you really wanna see more that can certainly be arranged
<-- that sentence sounds way more sexually inviting than I intended.
It is your thread. Clutter away!

We like sexually inviting!
As your attorney, my advise to you is to start drinking heavily(er).-Tuffy

This is why we can't have nice things.
I don't understand that. Am I wrong?

Cujo is a cat.
Tuffy is a dumptruck.
Kit is Australian.

Haha, no I'm not from Adelaide. Do have a few friends that moved there, though... they seem to like it? Maybe they just like the weed?! I grew up in Wollongong but moved to Sydney the first chance I got.
Currently living in Upstate NY. (For the past year or so) It's not bad, but I'll never get used to these winters.
And yeah, Steve, I'm Australian! My husband is a native New Yorker, though - that's why I'm here.
haaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaha
Welcome young Aussie chick. I, too, am an Aussie cultie. From Newcastle.
You ever read The Byron Journals. It's a great book. About a guy that finishes his HSC and escapes Adelaide, heads to Byron and gets into all sorts of mischief.
I'm also an Aussie.
(By popular demand.)

I'm an asshole.
By default.

I'm not an Aussie, but I have seen Chopper.
This may be my favorite welcome thread ever.
And really you are a pretty gal, its just that shadow, it bugs me. I can't help it!

You obviously don't show them enough love. Showing enough love is crucial, more crucial is only not feeding them if they won't respond to the name. Two months of this therapy and they respond even to Mister Pussycat.

Dude when it cones to Cujo you have no idea.

Lucky you then
I really can't imagine why one would want to move to Adelaide, although I have a friend who lives in Wollongong and it seems kind of similar, so maybe there's not a huge contrast. I'm in love with the culture and people of Melbourne, so I'm really just bitter. Adelaide's 'arts community' is generally made up of people with extremely poor social skills who don't shower and dress all alike. I base this off the few times I've tried to 'join the community' ahah. I love Sydney too, I wouldn't mind living there one day.
It's interesting you married an American and moved to New York - my boyfriend is from Ohio, and we debated for almost a year whether he'd move to Australia or I'd move to the US. We were planning on New York. One of the biggest reasons we didn't end up moving to NY (he lives in Australia with me now) is because I absolutely could not stand the cold - I've been to NYC a few times in the summer and adored it, but went once in spring and have never been so cold in my life, and I do not deal well with the cold at all. I would have turned into a complete hermit about 8 months of every year if we'd moved there. I do love the city though, there's maybe no better place in the world to be for an artist or just anyone concerned with culture.
Maybe one day I'll stop being a baby and agree to move there for a while, just for the experience

I've never read/heard of the book, no, but I'm definitely interested now. Would certainly tickle me a bit. Thanks for the heads up!
Strangely, I never have.
And really you are a pretty gal, its just that shadow, it bugs me. I can't help it!
If I could fix it, I would, just for you
...but I can't

This man has the right idea!

I laughed.

I'd be interested in hearing a 'History of Cujo' sometime.
