Hello, I am currently settled in a cosy bed in Canada with a "fresh lemon citron frias" candle warming my heart. I'm a 16 year old, complex - like the rest of us - male who enjoys long walks on snowy sidewalks and lonely walks to the mall, lol. I live in Canada but plan to run away to rural Cuba Wink. I joined this forum after reading q & a with Don Akers, one of the advices he gave to aspiring authors is to join writing group and get feedback on your work. I wish I could join the premium sections but my account keeps telling me "insufficient funds". I recently finished reading some banned works by Aleister Crowley and I'm parallely reading "book of wisom" by Osho, and "first stone" by Don Akers. I have two works in progress:
1) Effective Socializing: This will eventually become a self-help, it's the theory behind attuning your vibrations towards other people hence being able to social engineer them. A lot of it is inspired by the original pioneers of the self-help genre.
2) Psychotic Concessions of a Teen indigo: Title is in the works, but this is temporary, it'll be a novel of my life up until today (age 16). My mind is turned off while my ego writes this piece. What will make this piece enjoyable is the attached regression stories. Title might be changed to something along the lines of "broken crown".

I consider myself a perfectionist so my current goal is to "read, read, read" as much as possible so I further perfect my novel. I haven't publicized any of my works because I don't have much done, in my archive I have; about 10 speechs (most on the theory of global and municipal economical structure), and 7 'works in progress' (which I think I'll merge together).

I'd appreciate if someone would message me so we can chit chat, talk about writing, life, philosophy, etc.

Thank You, and don't hesitate to contact me Smile

I don't know. Australia would probably be up there. We just let any old motherfucker in here. That's how we started; by letting all the misfits in and seeing what happens.

I'm not reading two long threads from a noob. Don't get me wrong, I'm a welcoming guy, but I have my limits.

You just don't build big enough fences, man, that's your problem.

Welcome!

I am curious - your working title 'Psychotic Concessions of a Teen Indigo' - does indigo refer to the term 'indigo children', the concept frequently subscribed to by psychics and the like? Aka you're referring to yourself as a superspecial chosen one?

Some of my family, who are really into the spiritual/psychic stuff, often refer to me as an 'Indigo Child', but to go around describing yourself as such seems like a punch in the face waiting to happen. Just my two cents. If that's what you're even talking about.

Welcome, regardless. Smile

Sadly no. I plan on exploring the language, the articulation is very beautiful.

Thank you for the warm welcome, 'indigo' is a self diagnosed spiritual differentiation. You can also find me on http://indigosociety.com/member.php?11341-Destined-for-Greatness

If you don't think/feel you are one then there's no point of think you are, it comes from within.

Keep trying. The Workshop is highly recommended.

Interesting. Which ones? I find him quite fun. Lots of inside humor.

Fascinating. You are into the New Age Thing. How did your interest, broadly, come about? More specifically, this particular subject for a book? I take it that you are a master manipulator - how did you acquire this skill set at such an early age and how have you implemented it thus far in your life?

Working-titles are fine, but I would certainly change it before you get too far along.

Superior title in every way. Although, now that I consider it, there are certain marketing niches that it could be leveraged into quite effectively. One of the most successful recent titles of Buddhist commentaries is titled "Sit Down and Shut Up".

I am curious as to what you have experienced in sixteen years of life that is notable enough to make such an autohagiography. Who is your target audience? I would read a sample chapter of this. Also, "Indigo"? Kind of old news in the New Age market - you may want to reconsider emphasizing this aspect; every genre writer of the last half-century believes themselves some sort of "crystal-born" super-powered offspring of angels and whatnot. It's no longer a selling-point.

The most recent of his works that I read would be "witch alone", "the sword of song", his essays on the experiments with drugs, and my favorite: "the soul of osiris". I also did a full speech on his poem "the two lovers":

What is my soul? The shadow of my will.
What is my will? The sleeper’s sigh at waking.
Osiris ! Orient Godhead ! Let me still
Rest in the dawn of knowledge, ever slaking
My lips and throat where yon rose-glimmering hill,
The Mountain of the East, it’s lips is taking
To Thy life-lips : I hear Thy keen voice thrill ;
Arise and shine ! the clouds of earth are breaking !

The clouds are parted : yes! And there above
I bathe in ether and self-shining light ;
My soul is filled with the eternal love :
I am the brother of the Day and Night.
I AM ! my spirit, and perhaps my mind !
But O my heart ! I left thy love behind !

In turns of New Age I'm just going with the flow, literature needs to grow with global social interests and advance into new realms. New Age is a specific genre which is growing fast and publishers are looking to expand their portfolio with it. When I finish my manuscripts the first two publishers I will send it to is "Hayhouse" and "Monkfish publishing", Hayhouse is all about New Age and exploit all their authors to the max - I'm just as human as they are and wouldn't mind making a pretty penny before 20. Fun fact, Hayhouse is generating 1.5bill of operational profit per year while only having 92 employees (each earning over 150k a year) in 5 headquarters (one on each continent). The second publisher I'd like to address is quite opposite of Hayhouse, Monkfish is a very quite publisher mostly publishing philosophy and rare books with a tiny demographic. They are the type of company that respects literature in the most divine manner, the most original taste - they take the original 2000/1000 BCE approach and perceive literature as not being for everybody, it's for a certain type of person, not everyman.

I have to thank two specific authors for impregnating me with the idea: Maxwell Maltz (the original creator of the self-help genre), and Robert Greene for his sociological ideas.

Being a indigo (long story short, if you don't want to research the topic, it's a person that's made up of 3 souls and is part of the new 6th race of beings). I see human manipulation, also known as social engineering, as a negative thing with negative potential and I never resort to that, because with it you're able tool the one thing humans have which deities do not posses - freewill. Naturally I've been given the gift of advanced "awareness" (that's all it is), and with it I notice more and I've been able to learn more.

That is a very ironic title because being an apsiring young author the first thing I learned was a simple but effective phrase "Shut up and write". I worded that statement very wrongly, it's not about me and the experiences in my last 16 years, it's from a protagonist's point of view and he also happens to be the same age, it's hard to explain, just know it's not a stupid book about the limited 16 years of knowledge.

Like I previously stated, I don't have the virtual money to buy it, and I don't have a credit card (too young) to transfer money so I'm stuck. If anybody wants to buy me access to the workshop, that would be great, I'll thank them a hundred time and be in debt to them. But I realize that begging for donations is not allowed on almost all forums, so it looks like I'll be stuck here.

Thanks Again.
