Am I in the right place? Is this NAMBLA?
I should have done this earlier because I've been posting here for a week and some change now, and maybe some of you were like "shit, it's the cops" or...something, so I thought I might officially introduce myself. My first name is Dan. I have read all of Chuck's books except the guide he did for Oregon and I didn't finish Diary because the girl I was living with at the time had to take it back to the library, or at least that's what she said. She never came back. That's a joke. I joke.
Digging Chuck's work was what brought me here, and when I saw about the workshop I broke open the piggy bank and joined. For some reason I have a big fear of being looked at as some Palahniuk fanboy, but it's really out of my hands as to how I'm looked at. I like lots of writers, lots of stuff, and it seems like there are some cool people here with similar interests. And douchebags I can internet-fight with.
So, nice to meet you.
PS-My promise to you is that I will never respond to a post seriously with LOL
Thanks! Also, yours is the first post on the first thread I made ever. You will always have a special place in my internet-heart.
But...how many rectangles are in the picture?
Welcome, DJ the Third.
How did you know...oh, ok.
Including the invisible ones, there are 362.
Thanks for the welcome!
i wonder if you have to actually molest little kids to join NAMBLA?
i'd like to get a t shirt or something to wear around irking people but i don't wanna sign up for the whole shebang
We condemn sexual abuse and all forms of coercion. Freely-chosen relationships differ from unwanted sex. Present laws, which focus only on the age of the participants, ignore the quality of their relationships. We know that differences in age do not preclude mutual, loving interaction between persons. NAMBLA is strongly opposed to age-of-consent laws and all other restrictions which deny men and boys the full enjoyment of their bodies and control over their own lives.
If the NAMBLA applicant can somehow convince the molested kid to call it man boy love, it might not be a deal-maker, but it's probably a credential. A highway is all they can adopt if there is any justice (there isn't). Is there a hyphen in "man-boy"?
I guess the photo is proof that money buys everything.
Cheers. And keep Illinois clean and scenic, won't you?
ha, I'm glad I could be that person
I'm from PA originally, so we were neighbors once. Everybody thinks WVA is a southern state because of the cousin fucking, but I beg to differ. I've got a hundred jokes from people I know here in NC (they built some Walmarts so they are superior to all the other southern states, plus the rich people and frat boy concentration X 10) but I won't press the issue. What the hell am I talking about? Oh, Ok, are you real a member of the "mile high club?"
If NAMBLA assheads are allowed to adopt highways, am I allowed to adopt vigilante justice?
When we call soccer 'football' the terrorists have won.
Yes. But "BATMAN" is taken, so you'll have to come up with something else. But as far as I know it's a free country till you get caught. Plus, if you start a vigalante team, I'm there. Here's my costume:

PS -that's not really me
Hey, Dan. Most of us love Chucky P ... He has such a generous nature and his workshop lessons originaly taught several of us to write. pretty much all Cultists, you'll find, have a mesmerizing love for so many different writers. One of Dennis' favorite is Ellroy. One of my favorites is Baer - a strong writer. Don't worry about being a fanboy for any author. I'm a Palahniuk fan word up. A great way to remember how to say his name is to chant, "Palah-Nick, Suck My Dick"
That was from his second essay titled On the Body, a personal story from his youth constructed into a lesson that has proven very affective for me.
Good luck to you, Dan. See you around the places

Hey, feel free to check this site
Den & Mirkah (Mirkah is pronounced Mere-cka) created it originally

You can check our shorts by him and excerpts from his novels ... not to mention Craig Clevenger and SGJ - both of them are badasses too. But Baer is tough, TOUGH

Okay, I read somewhere that you say his name like the names Paula and Nick. But! I have a Jersey accent- so I pronounce Paula as Pawla. Most other people pronounce it more like Pahla Nick. How is it pronounced? Cause "Palah- Nick, suck my dick" can go either way.
(According to a website) he says it's after his grandparents, Paula and Nick. So however you pronounce it, that's how it's pronounced. I grew up not too far from Jersey, in Upland, suburb of Philadelphia. In Jersey they can't make left turns. They have those loops. But why aren't there any Philadelphia guys in the Sopranos?
Seriously, why aren't there any Philadelphia guys in the Sopranos?
Yeah, but they talk about the New York guys all the time, why don't the Philly guys get a taste?
One of my best friends in the world, whose name is Ed, grew up in New Jersey, and we used to go up and hang out at each of our old stompin grounds for a couple days. He lived I think around Camden but it was all suburbia (there was a lot of national park land around), but you couldn't turn left at a light. You had to go in the loop (or roundabout they call them, I think), where you go right and make a u-turn and then go straight back through the light.
just so you all know
being from philly, jersey or new york isn't something to brag about
Thats stupid. We certainly can make lefts.
And New Jersey is a suburb of New York, thats why New York is there and fuckin Philly isnt
You trippin.
