I have read and loved all Chuck P. books. Gotten my oldest son hooked and tried to inlist others to try them out. Some people can not handle or understand them. But I love the darker ideas of how the mind works..and what brings it there. I like the way he discribes the characters and how they got to where they are. I just wish books fell from the sky as I read..then go thru withdrawal because the next adventure has yet to show up. So I hope digging around here I will find new ideas for new reads .

You will get plenty of people here recommending the velvet trio to you (Clevenger, Baer, Jones) and rightly so. You should read The Contortionist's Handbook and Kiss Me, Judas for starters. Everyone should read those two books.

I would also like to recommend a couple others.

Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho etc.) In particular I would recommend The Rules of Attraction

Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting etc.) Get Marabou Stork Nightmares or Filth.

Look at the recommendations page on this site, lots of fantastic stuff there.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I will have a lot to research for future reads now! I have heard of some of the books mentioned, I have read American Pyscho and The Contortionist's Handbook. But always trying to find a new author. Nice to see a group of people with broader reading views than just Top 10 list,ya know?!

Just read Clevenger and everything will be fine.
