......and introduces himself.

Evenin' all.

My name is Jamie Crothall, aspiring writer and new Chuck fan.
A new co-worker touted Mr. Palahniuk's work and lent me Fight Club, the book and movie.
He told me to read the book first.
I devoured it, and eagerly put on the movie afterward.
Fascinating, all of it.
I'm currently reading something by Christopher Hitchens, but when I'm done I'm told that I should get me hands on 'Survivor'.

Hey, has anyone here signed up for the Writing Classes?
How are they?
I thought I'd try out the free membership, then consider signing up for the 'extras'.

Hey Jamie, welcome. What are you reading by Hitchens? I've been considering getting God is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything.

I've only heard great things about the Intensives and the Workshop, though I don't participate. This year Chuck himself is critiquing five stories a month from the WW. You can read more about it here: http://chuckpalahniuk.net/news/chucks-february-feedback-of-workshop-subm...

This months authors were all gracious enough to post excerpts of their stories and Chuck's remarks for non premium members. Those are in the comments section of the above link.
