I just got finished with a rough mixing of three songs we recorded. And by rough I mean pretty rough.

1) I had to compress it a lot for a manageable file size, but you can listen to it here. Give it a listen if you want. Tell me what you think if you want. It's three songs in one flash file so no one can find it and steal our unbelievable rockingness.

2) Please suggest some names for the band because I am tired of fucking thinking about it. And we already thought of the name Ridiculous Suck Machine, but even smartass suggestions can spawn some ideas.

3) I will have to take it down at some point in the next couple days, because the other guys will get pissed if they found out you heard it before they did, but I'm excited about these shitty little songs we wrote, so you get the exclusive !b!i!g!w!h!o!o!p!

4) When I take it down I will replace the link with a picture of me pooping (but probably not).

5) Thanks.

I like the first song a lot. It reminded me of the Buzzocks a bit.

I don't know about a band name..maybe "Second Bomb Pop"?

I'm rockin' out to it right now. It's cool. completely tolerable....The middle of the second song "rkdaley is Great", when the last chorus kicks in...that made me smile. And the first song is very power pop and kicks ass, the third song starts off like cats fucking, then improves. Is that you on the guitar? I imagine a lot of smoke and pillars on each side of the stage. Front row filled with teenage males with long black hair slowly bangin' their heads. Makes me go Rwar! cool.

Thanks for listening to it. Buzzcocks, huh? I can see that. We all still dig on all types of older stuff. It seems to be turning into something heavily influenced by the "early days of alternative." cliche: back when it was good. cliche: back when it was really still alternative.

Yeah, half the guitar and half the vocals. The other guy (Rick) and I wrote like 16 songs and found a bass player and a drummer to help us play them. Everybody contributes to the songs though. We worked most of them out without a rhythm section. It's my first band where another person writes too, and I'm really enjoying it.

I'm going to compile all the suggestions for names and try and decide on something. There hasn't been one yet that everyone has agreed on. I keep trying to get them to call it Mispellers, but they won't budge for some reason.

I like The Cashiers. We have thought of a lot of "the" names, but tryong to get all 4 to agree is impossible. I think we are going to throw the top 20 into a hat or something.

Not bad at all...

I think the first two tracks had a similar feel overall.

The third one reminded me of Soundgarden somehow...that Blow up the Outside World tune. I really wanted to hear a face melting wah pedal type solo in that tune.

I also really like the ending on the third song, how it got mellow and just grooved for a while with that tremelo/phaser/flanger(?) effect.

As for band names, what about The Pants Party ? Imagine the great posters and promo stuff...

You're all invited to The Pants Party!

But that would only seem to fit the first two tracks. The third track showed a lot more depth and I think such a childish name wouldn't really fit overall.

I guess I have no plausible name suggestions at this time.

Overall, I give it a thumbs up!

Thanks everybody for giving it a listen. It's good to know people that are supportive of something even if it isn't a downloadable ring tone. I know you guys ain't like that, but you know what I mean.

I'm glad you liked it. And thanks for listening to the last song all the way to the end. It's kind of a final kiss off to my ex-girlfreind. I want that one to be the last one on the recording when we make into a cd to leave poeple with that kind of haunted feeling that ending gives me.

Pants Party is probably not going to go over well as the name of the band, but I think it would make a great title for another one of the tracks we're working on.

Thanks again for the thumbs up.

I like that everyone has liked different tracks because that means it has a little range.

But I am starting to feel silly about talking about myself. So I'll just say thanks again for listening, everybody.

franc tireur and UBIK, I'm making a list of all the suggestions for names.

I just saw this. One would think since it's in all caps it would not be so easily looked over...
but I appreciate your stance on the pants matter, as I want nothing to do with anything about a girl of your age's pants, regardless of the reputation that rock stars such as myself may have. In all honesty, there really wasn't much of a change in my pants when I listened to it either.

But thank you for giving it a chance if you did listen to it.

I had that problem with every name we came up with. It reminded me of something else. Thanks for listening if you bothered to.
