Your New Favorite Band...
The hives are cool. I saw em about a month ago at the 9:30 club in DC, and i do have the say it was one of the best shows i have seen in atleast 3 years. The lead singer did this hilarious Jagger impersonation and kept teling every one that " THIS WILL BE THE GREATEST SHOW OF YOUR LIFE, BECAUSE WE ARE THE HIVES, THE BEST LIVE BAND ON THE PLANET!" The bass player who looks eerily like Ron Jeremy, then proceded to hump his bass and play the begginning of " Hate To say I Told You So." and then the rest of the band went into it. Im not suprised the other fat guy, the guitar player, didnt pass out during the show. It really was a great show. The last song they played was my favorite, " Die All Right".
Haven't heard the new cd though.

The Strokes first album was alright. I don't like their new stuff anymore. It al sounds the same and I hate that 12:51 song thing... lately I been digging on the newest of the Rollins Band cd's...

I know that already. I was just making a point about how much I hate pretentious music geeks who think they are so unique and special because they have unreleased tracks that aren't even released yet, like those assholes who only talk about demo tracks they got, and how cool they are because they are so far ahead of the rest of the world when no one really cares... not tomention all the asholes around here whoonly talk about bands no one has ever heard of except for other assholes into that sort of pretentious assholery... that's what i'm saying, dude! The Hives may not be the best band in the world, but they sure think they are and that's why I like them. They are so out-of-it. The documentary on the DVD is all them acting like Oasis or something, like when Oasis is all talking about themselves and saying shit like THE BEATLES? WHO CARES ABOUT THEM! WE INVENTED ROCK AND ROLL! WE ARE THE TRUE GODS OF ROCK! BLUR SUCKS! PONCY FAGGOTS! I dunno, that one concert though is so hilarious because there they are, The Hives, I mean, all dressed up in those suits they wear everywhere, which must be fucking hot, and they are in Los Angeles at some mall with an outdoor court and there are people in both levels of the mall court walk areas and they are all just standing there except for a couple teenage dudes jumping up and down and The Hives are all making fuck-me faces and sweating their asses off and singing their songs and like in between they are all ALL OF YOU FUCKERS OUT THERE IN THE AUDIENCE HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ROCK AND ROLL BEFORE YOU EXPERIENCED THE HIVES SINCE WE ARE ROCK AND ROLL AND THE AWESOMEST BAND IN THE WHOLE FUCKING WORLD AND YOU KNOW IT! or some shit, and the audience is all drinking their mall coffee's and like standing there discussing the 20-percent sale down at the JC PEnney while a couple stupid punk kids with braces in the front are all headbanging and making devil signs with their hands. The other concert on the dvd is from MTV2 or M2 or whatever, and it's some little club with flames and stuff and the audience looks like a bunch of frat boys who mosh pit when their is no music and a bunch of girls in love with the lead singer's hair and it's just that they are a spectacle everywhere they go, though they really do rock out in this other concert at this blues club thing...
