Your New Favorite Band...

Went to best buy this weekend. Bought this ^. It's pretty awesome. It's a cd+dvd set. Cost $14.99. Has the greatest hits of the old Hives and some unreleased stuff and not one... not two... but three entire concerts, not to mention all of their music videos, etc... I'm telling ya, it's a must for any fan of these dudes. Personally, I just like the energy they put out. Even when they are all tired and out-of-it, you will still find them jumping all over the stage and screaming and rocking out. The guitarist and the bass player both look like they are intensely masturbating whenever they play. All sweaty and humping their guitar/bass. Plus they got those fuck-me green day longview masturbating song look on their lips, like an OH! Face, like:
and the lead singer is all bouncy and kicking air and poncy like mick jagger when he was young and I thoroughly enjoyed it...

Did you just hear of those dudes or what? Man, you young hipsters with your old grunge! I mean, I like Nirvana and all too, but that's on the classic rock station now! I can only here RAPE ME 1,254 times before I get sick to death of it!

Of course I haven't just heard of them. I've always liked them, even when I was young, but right now I can't get enough. Kurt's words just tap into how I feel and who I am at this moment in time. Someday I'm going to be the female Kurt Cobain; just you watch!
Speaking of hipsters, check it out:

At the moment I listen to alot of
MARK LANEGAN

THE KILLERS

Cobain's words? What words? You can tel lwhat he is saying when he sings? I always liked him because he sounds like a droopy scrawny dog who is drowning in a cool way. I don't believe you! Tell me some Cobain words that tap into how you feel right now! Teen Spirit?! Heart-Shaped Box?! What! Are you burning in a lake of fire?!

I see you are still lame as always! Killers.. one, maybe two good songs. Lanegan and Taking Back Sunday are suck and like every other band who does the type of music they. Nothing makes them stand out from the ret of the crap playing on most indie-college-alternative stations at the moment. I think the worst band ever is linkin park, but even linkin park is better than Lanegan and Taking Back sunday combined. How can you listen to that bubblegum punk crap that sounds like a bunch of girls throwing tampons at a bloody toilet ring?

Dumb and Lithium.
Quality songs.
Totally express the way that I feel most of the time.
And yeah, sometimes I can understand what he's saying. Sometimes I have to look up the words. I mean...I have to know them so that I can sing along, right?
Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot Come As You Are. Classic.

Incesticide is probably my favorite album for all sorts of reasons. Sliver, Dive, The Kiss cover, Aneurysm, the one about his kid with grandma... whatever...

Kurt named his kid Kurt? I just remember the music video for it that had his little girl in it. They held her and like made her dance like a puppet. Fuckthat, she was named Frances! Not Kurt! Silly white girl with ghetto name!

No, Kurt's daughter's name is Francis Bean.
The song was about him when he was a child. It's something that happened to him.
White girl with a ghetto name? Are you referring to me again?
Snow Patrol
what do they sound like? Well, everybody is talking about emo, which I have no idea what that is because I don't keep up on the trends of kiddies, but I guess it's safe to say they're emo. I just think its catchy (pop) rock music.
Also, one of my favorite new bands are Young Heart Attack, which is straight up rock and roll, not rock, alternative, soft rock, metal, nu-metal, punk, emo, psch, or whateva just plain old rock and roll.

SNOW PATROL is labeled the new COLDPLAY, here in Europe.
It's catchy, some good songs on their new album.

dude, the name of the cd/dvd is 'your new favorite band', hence the name of the thread. i don't think brock really wants to hear about our new favorite bands.

I'm really enjoying Mars Volta at the moment. There's so much going on in each song that I listen to it 3 times a workday.
I used to listen to the Hives before skateboarding. Gets me really pumped up to fall down.

yeah, but at least you had The Hives in your original post. It's true. They inspire energy. They don't have one slow song. That's why I like them. They don't have TIME OF YOUR LIFE like Green Day, all slow and emo, of course, I haven't really heard their whole new album, so maybe they changed...

I recently started listening to Mando Diao's debut album Bring 'Em In because it's got that flair about that other cookie-cutter bands don't bring to the table.
i don't like the hives... just not my cup of tea... their music makes no sense to me
lately been listening to and loving zero7
antes ser rico e saudavel do que pobre e doente
it makes perfect sense to me, i just listened to their first cd way too much. so much so that when i hear music from it, it reminds me of things i did while listening to it back then. i pretty much burnt myself out on the hives.

I am currently addicted to the Melvins, I need to save up and get more of their albums...cobain produced some of their early stuff and was heavily influenced by them. But a bit of warning, melvins don't really sound like nirvana....

You don't look white so much. You just look "white" in a sorority girl sort of way. Like ethnic but not too ethnic. The glasses and the hair and the shirt do a lot toad to the white effect. Like a culturally accepted vj on M2. Looking at the pic Icould see you named something like sunbeam or madison or something. You look likethis chick Iknow. I forget. She was ethnic but she hung outwith white girls for the most part. Tremendous breasts. Not too dark, kinda light skinned. I dunno. The glasses make you look emo...

I hate the emo glasses thing. When I started wearing them there was no such fucking thing as emo. They were "beatnik." Very hip...if you're in the 50's and a drugged-out poet.
I could never be a sorority girl. I know you'd like to think of me having pillow fights with bimbos in my lingerie, but it ain't gonna happen, bucko.
Sunbeam? Madison? Child of a hippie? I wish.

Now i'm really in to Blackfield. They only made one album (which didn't come out yet) and it's basically a partnership with some guy from Israel and Steve Wilson of Porcupine Tree (best band ever lol). The whole album has great vocals and melodies and BG music. STEVE WILSON RULES!

I think the reason I like The Hives the most is because I was watching the DVD with all the concert footage and they are playing in this one scene and it's at a mall release free concert thing and the people atthe mall are just standing there looking perplexed and The Hives arejumping around kicking ass and the lead singer is all THIS IS THE BEST FUCKING CONCERT YOU HAVE BEEN TO IN YOUR ENTIRE FUCKING LIVES and totasllyoblivious to all the old people at the mall they just keep jumping around and sweating and playing louder and faster and I love that sort of enthusiasm. it wasn't forced in any way. It was great. Not even caring that no one gave a shit...

I second that emotion.
I've seen the Hives live. I bought that album before I saw them live. I found their stage presence bland to be honest. Pelle and the rest of the band seem cool guys, but Pelle just kept saying shit to the audience which got really old, like 'we're the best band evar, ja!'

My favourite band right now is Nirvana.
