Who here is a douchey vinyl record collector ? . . .
WAIT A MINUTE!!!!!

Memories...
Oh my gosh, that was my first Goosebumps book! I think I read two or three and then devoured my sister's PointHorror collection. What a legend this guy is!
Around June, Mondo will be releasing the 2LP vinyl edition the DRIVE soundtrack with Tyler Stout, who does pretty awesome movie posters, designing the cover. Probably a super limited pressing.

Record Store Day the day after Thanksgiving, so we made a little trip out to Princeton again... it was packed but I still got some decent records:

Blue Oyster Cult - Fire of Unknown Origin (I like this album more than I care to admit. Burning For You is my jam)
Iron Maiden - Killers (finally, found an original pressing in decent condition)
Ozzy Ozborne - Mr Crowley live EP picture disc (has a track that isn't on any other release)
Big Black - The Hammer Party

The Beatles - Abbey Road (their whole catalogue was just rereleased on vinyl, I've heard mixed reviews of the quality but we played this yesterday and it sounded superb)
Pulp - Separations (a reissue of one of my favourite Pulp albums)
Love - Forever Changes (limited edition Record Store Day release, 45th Anniversary pressing with replica original packaging and 7 inch of Alone Again Or/A House Is Not A Motel)
/douchery
All nice selections, really.
Tuffy the Dump Truck may rarely increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. The risk may be greater if you have heart disease or increased risk for heart disease (for example, due to smoking, family history of heart disease, or conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes), or with longer use. Tuffy should not be taken right before or after heart bypass surgery. Also, Tuffy may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. This effect can occur without warning symptoms at any time while taking Tuffy. Older adults may be at higher risk for this effect. (See also Precautions and Drug Interactions sections.) Stop taking Tuffy and get medical help right away if you notice any of the following rare but serious side effects: bloody or black/tarry stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest/jaw/left arm pain, shortness of breath, unusual sweating, weakness on one side of the body, sudden vision changes, slurred speech. Ask your doctor if Tuffy is right for you.
I love Pulp and i love Iron Maiden. That is all.
Get some taste. Listen to Big Black.

how does it sound on vinyl?
recent vinyl purchases: new scott walker, new QOTSA, a francoise hardy compilation, new immolation album, HUM reissue, an original red vinyl copy of the Libertine's Up The Bracket.. some other stuff I forget
It sounds pretty damn good. Mondo puts out some pretty decent sounding albums. I got their pressing of Fabio Frizzi's score for Lucio Fulci's The Beyond last year.

what a great photo
My purchases from 2013 so far:

"For most of this century, scientists have worshiped the hardware of the brain and the software of the mind; the messy powers of the heart were left to the poets."
now you're gonna make me listen to Heartbreaker
As you should! Such a classic album.

That Low album is so classic. It set a new standard.

Low and Heroes are my favorite Bowie albums. The berlin trilogy was such an interesting time in his career. Oh! I forgot to add another vinyl I got this year (one of my fav. albums of all time)

Wow. That is a nice set.
I would love to see the picture book.
That 2007 release, Zeitgeist, had me caught up, all last year.
We're going to have to agree to disagree on the pumpkins, because I like you both. ..
Got the new Daft Punk on vinyl, it sounds really great. Awesome depth of sound and you can really tell they used mostly live instruments this time around. My husband bought the new Black Sabbath vinyl but we haven't played that yet.

I love Adele, but she really is one of the most overplayed artists out there. Mumford and Sons is okay, but a lot of their stuff sounds too similar to me.
