What are you watching now?
I should be getting, in the mail today, provided by Netflix:
Deconstructing Harry
Match Point
Easy Riders, Raging Bulls
The Corporation
Liverpool v West Ham
Magnolia. Great ensemble film.
Tell Mr. Hackett to go fuck himself!
AC Milan v Barcelona
I just watched The Corporation -- a pretty good documentary with some really interesting points (most fucked up: corporations are patenting individual genes in DNA as quick as scientists are uncovering what they do). I really liked the style of it, but there was something about it that felt flat--it didn't have any energy, or any soul. I'm not sure what it was, but it bothered me throughout the film. A good view from an informative point of view, not so much from an entertainment point of view.
Either later tonight or sometime tomorrow I'm going to watch Easy Riders, Raging Bulls.
I had a bored yet questionable curiousity over the Farrelly Brother's film FEVER PITCH. It was on today on Cinemax so I watched it....Jimmy Fallon just pisses me off...but Barrymore was really hot during that birthday costume theme party.
Windtalkers
I've got Annie Hall, Crimes & Misdemeanors and Wag The Dog at home, which I'll probably watch in that order in the next day or so.
I watched Spanglish before I went to sleep last night. I thought it was pretty good, I loved the ending, even shed a tear!
this. good times.
Repo Man.
eh. The blurb on the back of the box made it sound far more interesting that it actually was.
Jabberwocky. It annoyed the crap out of me. I hate Monty Python type humour and there it was, in my face, being all not funny.

(No need to downlaod that Blue media player to watch video..FYI)
The mayor is a tool. So full of shit. We will be losing anywhere from 6-10 coppers because he sucks.

I watched the most recent episode of South Park. It was pretty damn funny. Cartman's mother is tired of his bad behaviour so she first calls in some of the nannies from TV to try and change his ways, which is pretty funny, then finally calls in 'The Dog Whisperer', a guy from TV who teaches bad dogs how to behave.
Interestingly, this is the third episode in a row not to have any obvious political or social commentary. The last one that had a message was the one when they tried to show Mohammed and attacked their own network for not letting them. Either they've gotten tired of putting in messages or the network has asked them to tone it down.
!
the office (BBC)
really late to this one, everyone has seen it, but I love it.
Real Madrid v Racing Santander
The new episode of South Park. It pains me to say it but this new season (with the exception of the Cartoon Wars episodes) has sucked rather harshly.
Sympathy for Lady Vengeance
I thought it was great. Amazing visuals. People expecting another Oldboy comic book shock fest will be disappointed, as it takes a completely different (and slower paced) approach. Though I'm not saying there are no shocking moments whatsoever, they just take place offscreen for the most part.
Man Utd v Charlton
Burn Face Man

Sarah Jessica Parker making out with Alanis Morrissette. Yes, for real
Link!.
I just watched The French Connection. I'm sure it was great when it came out 35 years ago, and it had some really good moments, but I don't think it's held up very well. Although I can tell it's one of those benchmark movies that spawned a million copycats, including Enemy of the State and the Bourne movies.
I'm just getting back from watching Silent Hill. I can see how people wouldn't like this film, but I loved it. It was surprisingly violent and scenes were rich and beautiful. The constant snow of ash pelting the town and creating that blurry haze of a inbetween of nightmare & dream. The ending wasn't amazing, but I liked it. The film is something that is nice to just watch. At times it carries that video game feel to it, especially when the girl is walking around with a lighter in her hand. But the scenes of gore were great. I really liked those alot. I'd wouldn't mind a second viewing of this film one bit.
Im debating on seeing Silent Hill or Poseidon this weekend. I've never played the videogame, so I don't really know what to expect, except that people say it's really creepy, especially when the sirens start going off. And Poseidon's tagline should be, "This summer, Hollywood blows shit up...underwater!"
The first time the sirens go off was pretty good. The story isn't great, but I just liked watching the scenes and how they looked.
The last time I saw a horror movie in the theater was probably the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake.
Tomorrow I'm watching 24 Hour Party People.

go see Silent Hill
just go watch it as a silent movie or something and enjoy the music sound and atmosphere it presents and you will not be disappointed
That pretty much sums my appreciation for it.
well, that and that last scene with pyramidhead
DAMN !

Yeah beastiality doesn't get any better than that.
I'd pay to see them do it.
i dunno about all that now
maybe trade in old Subway stamps or something
I've got coupons for two-fers for Big Macs.
I just got a nice roast chicken ready and watched The Last Picture Show, I've seen loads of times on Sky Cinema and decided recently to get the DVD. I never get tired of it.
"The Hidden Fortress"
awesome!!!

My friend lent me the box set for, Arrested Development and it’s full of goodness and fucked-upedness. It’s like sugar cereal for your brain but it ends up being good for you since it cancels the dirty looks one might get by wearing the flyest trousers on the block.
Earlier in the week I watched Broken Flowers and it was the biggest borefest ever. Toaster crumbs are more exciting. Avoid this at all costs and assault the makers of crap media with lead pipes to prevent Broken Flowers reloaded from ever happening.

Sahara. I'm on a dumb movie kick.
24 Hour Party people is great and really entertaining. I want to see Tristan Shandy but everytime I make palns to see it something happens to prevent me from seeing it.
M-editate
The Beach.
No, I won't admit it's bad because I really do like it mostly. [And hell yes I know it's a different story and it doesn't measure up to the book at all, but nonetheless.]
Plus I've got an unhealthy attraction to Tilda Swinton.

Globetrekker: Hawaii

swoon.
I'm going to watch The Squid and the Whale tomorrow.
I just started watching TV for the first time this year. Was really aweful, but at least G4 (videogame channel) was giving constant shows on E3 (big videogame convention this past week). I found a few good shows like Miami Vice, Fuse tv's music videos, and a couple new Cartoon Network shows. I just also saw the "new" MTV since I haven't watched MTV in about 2-3 years so the change was really shocking. It really is as bad as people have been saying. Like that Sweet 16 show. I got really depressed seeing those worthless, dumb, glazed little bitches.
Anything worth watching on TV these days?
"Lost" on Wednesday nights on ABC (the 2nd season finale is in a week, though)
"Deadwood" on HBO.
Anything on the History Channel.
Anything on Comedy Central.
And that's it.

Yes, they mention that in the article, it was before 11/9/01 so the rules were different back then. The network that it was on put out a statement saying that it they pulled the scene to avoid trouble.
