My FAVORITE band, Portugal. The Man, released their new cd today. It's called the Satanic Satanist and it kicks ass and this is the packaging:

BEST CD CASE EVER. It's like a pop-up book. And the art on it is amazing. They're from Alaska so automatically they're my boys. It's so cool because a lot of the album and the art is based on their time growing up there. You can't really see it in these pictures, but there's Mt. McKinley on the part of the case that's holding the actual cd. And a bunch of other pretty scenery, and plenty of fucked up awesome shit. Anyways, it's what I'm listening to right now and I absolutely love it.

Dead Weather's cool, but i've yet to give them a proper reason, so maybe it should've been two and a half. Wolf Parade is awesome, not so much their second album, though Sunset Rubdown is way better. And, really, what it's all about right now, for me, anyway, on your list, is Patrick Wolf, who's just incredible.
