What are you listening to right now?
awesome tunes. I really like almost all music that wong kar wai uses in his flicks.
.I'm beginning to believe that anything I do to extend my life is just going to be outweighed by the agony of living it.
There is no proper way to cope, no everlasting grace.
Just a flame on a river floating away.

I seem to be listening to a good about of Cash recently. Not today, but recently.
Ditto.
I'd not listened to him for so long but all it takes is that one song and I'm hooked again.
There is no proper way to cope, no everlasting grace.
Just a flame on a river floating away.
Yeah, he is one of those artists that just pulls you in and then you are caught for a good while.
The Bastard Suns....all of their shit.....all of it.
Regards, Desmond
An all time favorite.

I can't get enough of Pretty Lights lately.

Okay, listening to the same album. And later on, the whole of The Priest of Bloodshed.
Ritt, you won some major points with this one.
it's all a clever and elaborate ruse, irina. don't fall for it!

I've never heard this version before but I love it. I don't know why I like Chet Baker so much. He's not an amazing singer but there's a certain feeling that spills out when he sings, that you don't really hear with other singers.
I am listening "Lonely" by Akon
The real Django Unchained :

Si vis pacem, para bellum
I've been listening to Night Moves by Bob Seger on loop for a long time. I wonder how long I can go before my roommate says anything.

There should be a thread on the best film music.

Make one!
I love listening to Chet Baker, too. Audreythirteen, have you ever seen the documentary about Chet Baker? It is beautifully captured on film stock. They used a sweet silver nitrate/wet plate process like Sally Mann (well that's my guesstimation of the process). Here's the whole thing:
If you can stand the scatting of Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the beginning. It wasn't so annoying in the early 90s when I saw it.
Evidently Flea is a huge jazz buff.
Also listening to:
That's the stuff that plays in the car these days :

Listening to Beethoven's 5th.
Getting sharpened up and ready for a bit of the old ultra violence?
I forgot my Clockwork Orange dictionary but yes.
follow it up with the 9th, 4th movement. good piece.
Classic tune, Pep.
I can't stop listening to this and I don't know why.
Makes me think of my late grandfather, who played the accordion and the fddle in weddings after the war :

I've been leaning towards more and more metal because Sleigh Bells is the loudest band i listen to and i tend to burn out on them from time to time. Sometimes i want to listen to something loud and mean, you know? So far my favorites are Iron Maiden and Mastodon. Other recommendations are welcome.
You should listen to Kvelertak.
Short and sweet: Mjød
More awesomeness: Blodtørst
I know this is really bad, but I can't stop listening to it.

I love that he's just sitting outside and playing.
That video makes me miss Florida. I miss thunderstorms. Strong winds, the smell of rain, the rumbling growl of thunder.

Also, I just bought it at goodwill this weekend for $2.99 and while looking up the track listing to copy/paste just now I discovered it is selling on Amazon for between $50.00 and $70.00 used (upwards of $150.00 new, which mine isn't, obviously). Damn.
...which prompted me to look up that rocky horror picture show novel I also bought just now, and... same. The one I bought is rather beat up, though so it would be far less. Still, something to hold on to and make sure it is kept on the shelf and not kicked under the bed.
Anyway, both of these things mostly please me because I was annoyed at Goodwill for marking up a candy dish I wanted because it had the brand sticker on it, while the companion one was lower in price because the sticker was missing. (I asked the manager what the deal was with one being less than the other, and the sticker proving the maker was the explanation... you got this stuff all for free assholes! And then you mark one up but not the other because you can "prove" it has worth?)
So Take That Goodwill! I got good stuff for nothing from you 'cause you didn't even know! naner naner

I'm listening to music by Shigeru as well. The soundtrack of 2046.
