What are you listening to right now?

Go New Zealand! The Naked and Famous:
Yay! I love this album also!
Also, on a Nick Cave binge at present, 'People aint no good' in particular.
I'm singing this at a gig in a few weeks. It's kind of a joke (but not really because I secretly love it...)
I want to hear you sing this Hattie. Does your band have anything recorded yet? I want to hear what you guys sound like.

Haven't put anything new on there since about 2008 but I'm hoping to update in the near distant future!
Right this very second I'm listening to Bury the Hatchet by New Model Army.
My current playlist is a mix of NMA, Pixies, Emilie Autumn and Hannah Fury.
Nice one, Jaz.
I've been digging on the new Horrors album. Very Britpop meets New-Wave, which is right up my alley.
Thanks. I'm used to the Sam Cooke version and Lauryn Hill's cover on it, but I heard this version today and so far it's my favorite. I've heard other versions of it but most just don't capture the blues that make this song.
Portugal. the Man's new album, In the Mountain in the Cloud. It is absolutely fucking flawless.
that's the video for their single [should look familiar to Camille :)] but this is my current favorite
Are the scissors broken in your house, son?
Kate Bush, in particular Wuthering Heights and Babooskha.
I'm listening to Natalie Walker (I've finally started to really like her, first impression was "so so" but decided to give her second chance) and Washed Out, which is pretty cool chillout stuff.
Because there is nothing over the rainbow… - http://theunsunnyvalley.wordpress.com
They both seem to be a bit hit and miss, but both 'TV on the radio' and 'Fever Ray' have a few outstanding hits.

I finally got around to listening to a couple of those songs. Very cool Hattie.

This is an awesome site where you basically choose a playlist based on your current mood. You can shuffle the songs, skip and browse.
I'm listening to David Axelrod...My friend posted a video and I igot stuck listening to the rest of them.
!!! nice.. you should check out his albums "Song of Innocence" and "Songs of Experience". They're good for chilling, painting, reading, etc. Shoot me a pm if you want me to upload either/both of them for you.
Yeah I was listening to all of those kit. They were helping me relax right now. I just couldn't choose what song I wanted to post.
So I started up New Moon on demand for background while I slept. Fell asleep almost immediately but woke up to a song that I couldn't get out of my head for days. Fast forwarded through it again last night, found the scene, and thought--wow, Radiohead! But it was only Thom Yorke. Well, I downloaded the song (Hearing Damage) and am interested.
I've seen Thom Yorke posts around here but forget where. Loved Radiohead a long time ago--still listen to "OK Computer" but don't buy CDs anymore. Amazon lists a bunch of stuff including singles, imports, ??? I just was wondering if anyone could tell me a good album to start with? If not, I'll just YouTube the hell out of him.
A good Radiohead album to start with or just Thom Yorke? The Eraser is great, that's solo stuff, and as far as Radiohead goes you really can't go wrong with Amnesiac or Kid A. I'd say go for one of those first.

I have Pablo Honey and OK Computer--used to have The Bends but I think that grew legs at a party. I'll try to check those out. Thanks.
Been listening to Sigur Ros, Florence & the Machine, and other similar bands...
then this song came on
Basically I've been enjoying my speakers the past couple days. It's rare I get to blast music in the house.
I loved this when I was fourteen because my mom had it on a 45 and I got a turntable with a double cassette deck for dubbing for Christmas that year and copied all the records I found. Listening to it twenty something years later (chut up) is...not the same. At all.
I think I'll listen to this next:
I'm loving David Gray so much at the moment.
<3
I should look in this thread more often.

I've only listened to one of their albums (You Vultures!) but I loved pretty much every song. I'm gonna have to listen to this and the stuff in between.

That's an awesome website.
I wasn't in high school but shit yeah anyway.
then this song came on
I love that song.
Anyway. I saw Digitalism a few days ago and I remembered I saw this video two or three years ago and I want to play this game as badly now as I did then.
I still can't stop listening to him.
thanks for sharing.blackhawk tactical pants.

He'll be at the festival I'm going to next week!

That's awesome. I would love to see him live.

Been listening to this at night

I've been mostly listening to Bon Iver and Sufjan Stevens this week. Last night I got drunk, and after stepping into my musical time machine, listened to a lot of Johnny Mercer. Yes, I am that cool.
"Once there was a redheaded man without eyes and without ears. He had no hair either, so that he was a redhead was just something they said."
I always forget to post to this thread.
I've been listening to a lot of neo-soul stuff coming out lately. First, if you're not yet acquainted, let me introduce you to Black Joe Lewis and The Honeybears.
Also, Mr. Charles Bradly of Daptone Records.
The one and only Ms. Sharon Jones,
Raphael Saadiq (yes, of Tony! Toni! Tone`!)
Aloe Blacc
You know in all the years I've been here I've never been sigged?

love all of these Mckay
We saw Raphael Saadiq in Zürich a couple months ago, he delivers an incredible show and his band is of a very high quality. I might add he has quite an effect on girls.
We already booked to se him again in November, this time in Germany.

I saw him here in SF right before he left for the European leg of the tour. Great show!

Just watched the Raphael Saadiq video there and have to say it was very good. Hadn't even heard of him so thanks for that.

FANTASTIC!
Epiphany A. Roa
Such a beautiful soundtrack to such a beautiful movie.
We'll die together.
A Good Man is Hard to Slime
Phil Collins - True Colors
There is no proper way to cope, no everlasting grace.
Just a flame on a river floating away.
Dang long time no see. Where have you been?!
This girl is awesome. Saw her live at the festival I went to and I would very much like to go see her again.
Obsessed with this song these days.
A Good Man is Hard to Slime
I love this song so much now. Especially these lyrics:
She said I should come over
Though the music's not my type
Don’t you know I'd chop a limb off
Just to have a good time
Shut up and move with me, move with me or, or get out of my face
I didn't queue for an hour to leave straight away
Shut up and stay with me, stay with me or, or let go of my hand
The lasers fill our minds with empty plans
I never knew I was a techno fan
