Way too much Ryan Adams. Mostly Cold Roses, Easy Tiger, Love is Hell and the three Whiskeytown records. All the sad ones.
This song is killing me.
Love that song.
Funnily enough I nearly said something about listening to Ryan Adams when you mentioned you had broken up with Nat, but I didn't want to seem like I was making light of the situation. No Heartbreaker, though? Or is that too much? Come Pick Me Up is such an incredible break-up song.
Sorry, I lied. I have been listening to Heartbreaker, too.
Man, I can't stop. I'm just listening to him on repeat and moping. It's fucked. But also kind of nice. In some weird sadistic kind of way.
Cold Roses is killing me though.

Love Old 97's. Thanks to Timberly.
Looking for some new shit to listen to. I'm open to anything... I'm seeing a lot of bands/artists I've never heard of on here. Gimme some names... What inspires you when you're writing?
I love all music, with the exception of country. So, please, no country...
As of now, I'm going back to '06 to one of my all time favorite albums: Blue October's Foiled... Saved my life...
Thanks...

Wow, thanks Julia. I already listen to a lot of the bands on your list, but I'll be sure to check out the ones I haven't.
Thanks again,

I think I'm starting to get back to my 'rude and snide' stage of Culting. It happens from time to time.
Ummm, on topic, I'm--well, yeah, I'm STILL listening to too much Ryan Adams. Surprisingly, I haven't listened to Blood on the Tracks yet. Must be coming with the next wave of depression.

Oh, yes, I want to be like you, Melody. I do, I do. I study your posts and try to sound like you and sometimes think of starting a username called "DesisScribbling" and having a little piggy avatar and then making people confused because I'll post things that you would post and it would be fun, fun, fun.
Okay. Umm. No, but seriously, I think I'm sinking into a 'rude and snide' phase of my Culting. The above doesn't fall into that category though because it was done in complete jest and I was never intending on it being neither rude, nor snide.

Tuffy the Dump Truck may rarely increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. The risk may be greater if you have heart disease or increased risk for heart disease (for example, due to smoking, family history of heart disease, or conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes), or with longer use. Tuffy should not be taken right before or after heart bypass surgery. Also, Tuffy may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. This effect can occur without warning symptoms at any time while taking Tuffy. Older adults may be at higher risk for this effect. (See also Precautions and Drug Interactions sections.) Stop taking Tuffy and get medical help right away if you notice any of the following rare but serious side effects: bloody or black/tarry stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest/jaw/left arm pain, shortness of breath, unusual sweating, weakness on one side of the body, sudden vision changes, slurred speech. Ask your doctor if Tuffy is right for you.
Bauhaus are great. I saw them in Berlin a few years ago

Up through tomorrow, you can download The Strokes new single off their new album for free at their site. But you have to give them your e-mail address. I really can't wait for this album.

Listening to a lot of TV On The Radio, MC Ren, Above The Law, the new Crowbar, some Prong, Norma Jean, and the new Twilight Singers. All that's been helping me write, so that's what I've been listening to.

Love.
The best thing about dreams is that fleeting moment, when you are between asleep and awake, when you don't know the difference between reality and fantasy, when for just that one moment you feel with your entire soul that the dream is reality, and it really happened.

i'm listening to a strange mix of scissor sisters, muse, linkin park and gorillaz (they are an english band made up of animated characters. dont know if they are known outside the uk but you should all check them out...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8Qp38qT-xI
haute cature and getting hauter
lvidal88: apc -do you like their other one, thirteenth step? That's one of my favorite records of all time. I love that record.
and lmke: I'll admit it -I've never heard of Shrillex -what is that? (not that I can't google, but generally speaking -heavy, slow, rock, rap, what?)

I definitely did not write Shrillex. Skrillex' tags on LastFM: dubstep, electronic, breakcore, electro, electronica.
Chris, I freaking love that song. The version you linked to is slightly different from the one I have though, hm.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
Other than Ryan Adams' Cold Roses, which is still getting heavy play from me, I've had Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band's Outer South on a fair bit. Love how much organ is in this album. Fucking love the organ.
And, after getting into The Wire, finally, I rekindled my love of The Blind Boys of Alabama after listening to their version of Tom Waits' "Way Down in the Hole", which is pretty cool because I'll be seeing them next month at Bluesfest. Love the harmonica in this song.
Norwegian folk rock whatever stuff! Gåte.

I do like Thirteenth step. you know I really just like all of their records. I've never not liked any. They really just know what good music is.
