What are you listening to right now?
good call, I might put that on next
Now I'm cutting myself.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Hipster.
I know, right?
This is why we can't have nice things.
Mom's gonna fix it all soon.

Old news but these guys are incredible... I listen to their album all the time and will never tire of it
Pssst, Nick...
This is why we can't have nice things.

Fuck I love you. You're one of my favourite Culties.
This song reminds me of a girl. We had this thing. It was a strange kind of thing. She lived in Sydney, a few hours away, and I met her through a friend and fell for her. We never were together, but we spoke on the phone for hours and hours. And when we finally met up, it was one awkward night. I won't go into it. But after that it seemed to fizzle. And I kind of wish it never happened. It was awfully romantic. She's actually the person that turned me on to Chuck. Lent me a copy of Fight Club.
If you don't like this then you don't like good music!

And with an elegant name like that how could you go wrong.
That song makes me want to paint something.
Quick! Somebody get naked! I want to paint a nude portrait of someone! Anyone!

I think I have an E-Crush on Kit's musical taste.
You know in all the years I've been here I've never been sigged?
You must want to E-bend my music taste over then.
<3 you guys
do either of you use last.fm?
I used to, I thought... I'll check and see if I've an account.
You know in all the years I've been here I've never been sigged?
No, but should I? If so, why?
Well I'm not going to tell you if you should or shouldn't. Personally, I find it interesting to be able to keep a track of my listening habits - and the listening habits of people whose music tastes I respect. I like geeking out over it occasionally.. a lot of people delete guilty pleasures or things that they consider embarrassing off their pages, I generally don't. I'm not an elitist by any means, I have a bunch of silly things on mine, and I'm ok with that. I've only deleted albums that I've listened to once and decided I hated and therefore didn't want on any of my lists. It will also reccommend you similar artists based on what you're listening to, which are usually pretty accurate.
My only beef is that I can't add my vinyl listening habits, so it's not really a complete picture. Oh well..
I recommend last.fm highly.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Yeah, I doubt it'll be good for me. I generally go on the internet, at the moment, on my brothers computer. His musical tastes are questionable at times, so I end up listening to stuff I wouldn't normally. When I listen to my music, on my computer, It's not on the internet, and I listen to a lot of CDs and records, so it seems like a waste for me. Cool idea though. I love the thought of having similar artists recommended to me based on my listening habits.
Also, I opened up my heart in a post above and everyone ignored me. I feel like I exposed a deep thought within me and no one cared. It hurt. Maybe it was too deep. Did I make you feel awkward, Cult?
I actually thought it was a good story, Matt. Except I didn't really have any comment other than it was a good little anecdote - wistful, like the song.
I like that song a lot, despite not really being a fan of that Augie March record. I like Strange Bird and Sunset Studies better.
I am listening to this. My parents had this on a reel to reel recording they used to listen to and I loved it so much that I wrote a paper about it in 10th grade. I will always love this song.
Wow, that's gorgeous! Thanks for turning me onto it.
Get on over to my website, young'un! www.subvertfromwithinrecords.blogspot.com

I've been pretty much alternating lately between Joy Division, Swans, The Smiths, and Aphex Twin. In a bit of a time warp, I guess.

Man, that's a depressing time warp.
That "New York City Blues" song was beyond incredible.

well, i'm not really listening to it.... but in the next room, "Black Hole Sun" has been on repeat for about 30 minutes. literally.
i mean, i suppose the chorus is not emphasized enough and one would have to listen to it over 6 times to understand what is said.
they just went out for a cigarette, and left it on repeat. i'm not having thoughts of self-harm...... yet....

so much better than the album version:
I've been on a Drive-by Truckers kick.
"I'm glad I live in the GPS era. In a different century, I would've set off to visit the other side of the village and wandered off into the mountains and been eaten by a carnivorous plant. Or discovered the Americas."
-LaJessica
underrated Aussie classic!

Found this on another site. I kind of like it, even with the crazy grunting and tribal sounds towards the end.

Have I told you your music taste is impeccable this week?
haha.. I think you just did!
Did you hear about James Freud from the band Models committing suicide this week?
Pretty sad.
Yeah, I read about it yesterday. I don't have anything more to add. Pretty sad, yes. A shame.
I feel like i'm endlessly complimenting your musical taste. But you're always listening to great stuff. Makes me happy.

I'm always glad to meet fellow music-lovers!
What are you listening to? You should post more things.
hey, welcome back frimpkintz. thought we'd lost you.
Bon iver - come talk to me.
Then I'll continue painting my gym and listening to Pearl Jam Radio (their channel) on SiriusXM radio

You're a brighter little soul than all of the jaded people here. Never take them seriously. NEVER.

Me too, Kit, Me too. Especially ones that love similar music to me.
It's funny, even though I am constantly listening to music, I rarely post in here. I should post more. Not sure why I don't.
I've mostly been listening to Bob Dylan's Mono Recordings box set. The quality is undeniable. I don't know why everything isn't recorded in MONO. Makes sense. Stereo is overrated and annoying when your headphones break and you only have one speaker anyway.
Other than that. Been listening to a fair bit of country lately.
Justin Townes Earle is a new favourite.
i look in and contribute from time to time lol

Album Thermo Plastic by hitomi. Most Jpop is crap (something like 99%) but she's surprisingly good. Especially Whish is a kick ass. Of course if someone is a weeaboo, lol.

Just because.
Scrap that. I can only listen to so much of The Faint, even though I do dig them. I quickly moved on to this.
